Michael Chybowski: Lighting Designer Michael Chybowski has designed The Two Gentlemen of Verona at both Great Lakes Theater and Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Recent work in theater includes The Crucible and The Tempest, both at Hartford Stage, and in dance includes Beaux for San Francisco Ballet and the premiere of A Choral Fantasy for the Mark Morris Dance Group. Other new work includes the restoration of The Angels of Swedenborg for Ping Chong and Company and Glengarry Glen Ross at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. Michael was the head of lighting at the Brandeis University professional theatre training program until its demise this spring. He has received the American Theatre Wing design award, two Lucille Lortel awards and an Obie award for Sustained Excellence.

Ryan Fielding Garrett: Musical Director Ryan is delighted to make his Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival debut! Credits include Passing Strange, [title of show] and Chess (Playhouse Square); Spring Awakening and Grey Gardens (Beck Center); Titanic, Ordinary Days and Rent (Baldwin Wallace University); Pippin (Cain Park); The Cradle Will Rock, Children of Eden and Songs for a New World. He worked with composers Adam Guettel and Joe Iconis on original evenings of their music at the Weston Playhouse. He was selected as the recipient of the Young Composer of the Year Award and his piece Return to the City Overture was premiered by the San Antonio Symphony. Russell Metheny: Scenic Designer This is Russell’s first season with Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. For Idaho Shakespeare Festival: The Mousetrap, The 39 Steps, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Woman in Black, Othello, A Tuna Christmas, The Seagull, The Comedy of Errors, Greater Tuna, Measure for Measure, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Tempest, Love’s Labor’s Lost, King Lear and Julius Caesar. Russell also has designed for Great Lakes Theater for several seasons. Regionally, Russell has designed for Indiana Rep, Asolo Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the Studio Theatre, Geffen Playhouse, Old Globe Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse, Geva Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, D.C., Goodspeed Musicals and Weston Playhouse. Recent productions: God of Carnage, My Fair Lady and Betrayal. Upcoming: Jekyll and Hyde, The House That Jack Built and A Little Night Music for Indiana Rep, 1776 for Asolo Rep and Doubt for Maltz Jupiter Theatre.

Star Moxley: Costume Designer Star has worked the past 30 years designing many memorable productions as a resident costume designer for Idaho Shakespeare Festival, as well as Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Theater for Youth and Boise Contemporary Theater. Star’s costume designs for Hamlet and Macbeth have been awarded and exhibited internationally. She is a recipient of the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. She recently has re-emerged in the visual art scene, and she is an Artist in Residence with the Boise City Arts program creating multimedia installations. She is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
