The Martin and Lewis Show

CCEntertainment presents

On their first Australian national tour, direct from Las Vegas, is Tom Stevens as Dean Martin accompanied by Tony Lewis as Jerry Lewis. From Atlantic City’s ‘500 Club’ to Las Vegas, the king of comedy Jerry Lewis and the straight talking, smooth singing Dean Martin turned the world on its head when they teamed up in 1946. Tom Stevens and Tony Lewis recreate a timeline of song and comedy from the greatest act of that time. From the duo’s humble beginnings to their solo careers including Everybody Loves Somebody, Volare, Amore and many more, Tom Stevens will have you believing you are watching Dean Martin in 1955. Tony Lewis has won many awards over the past 20 years but his greatest claim, is his tribute to Jerry Lewis. An acclaimed stand alone comedian, Tony Lewis is even better when he teams up with Tom Stevens. Tony’s Typewriter act is said to be the best tribute to Jerry Lewis’ Typewriter scene from Who’s Minding the Store. Tom Stevens has been a well renowned performer in Las Vegas for the past 25 years and his resemblance to Dean Martin is so uncanny that Dean Martin’s own daughter Deana said ‘I’ve never seen anyone look and sound more like my daddy.’ 29 May 7pm. Performers Dorian Mode and Andrew Wilkie deliver a night of musical cabaret too good to be missed. The music is sublimely smooth, and Mode’s lyrics wry and descriptive, though not without a hint of compassion. His musical partner Wilkie plays the vibraphone. The two men are clearly happy with their bogan lifestyles and that results in a bizarrely contrasting experience; and that’s the key word to associate with Bogan Song Cycle: contrast. Bogans and soft jazz blending together to produce a wonderfully entertaining experience.
