Start het nieuwe jaar fris met een duik in het koude Noordzeewater aan de Scheveningse kust ter hoogte van de Pier. Ook voor de niet dappere dodo's is het een heerlijk uitje, want het is en blijft een prachtig schouwspel al die bibberende mensen.
Uitwaaien in Scheveningen Straffe wind en fikse kou: een mooi moment voor een strandwandeling. Nooit ruikt de zee frisser en komen de golven hoger. Een gevoel van vrijheid! Zie de bedrijvigheid van de vissers in de haven of volg vrijdags - bij het krieken van de dag - de spanning op de visafslag. Proef de sfeer en de gezelligheid en jaag de koude weg met warme thee of een borrel bij het Brouwcafé. ’s Avonds staat de verse vis op tafel bij Lemon Grass of in de Harbour Club. Het echte uitwaaien kan worden beloond met een lekkere lunch of diner bij Van der Valk op de Pier. Watch the fishermen going about their business in the harbour or on a Friday – when the day is dawning – feel the excitement of the fish auction. Taste the atmosphere, enjoy the fun and beat the cold with a warm cup of tea or a stiff drink in the Brouwcafé. In the evening the fresh fish is on your table already in Lemon Grass or in the Harbour Club. After your bracing walk you will have deserved a good lunch or dinner at Van der Valk on the Pier.

New Year's Dive
Start the New Year off afresh with a dive into in the cold North Sea water along the coast of Scheveningen, just by the Pier. Even for the not so daring amongst us, it is a perfect day out because the sight of all of those shivering people is, and always has been, a fabulous show. Scheveningen Beach 1st January 2012
