He was the overall winner of the 2014 Promasidor Quill Awards, winning also in the education, children’s categories. His awards in the 2014 Rotary International Human Rights Awards were on water & sanitation and education. Just his week, he got the 2014 Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting in the Print Category. Skilled in video editing, audio editing and voice over, he works with the Punch Nigeria Saturday PUNCH.

Nigerian Journalists on the Social Media bus CO-ORDINATION: EverythingJournalism group, a cyber hangout on the professional network, LinkedIn, for serious media professionals and consumers of media messages, in association with its adjunct, The Journalism Clinic, with a vision to raise and nurture the next crop of first-rate journalists in Nigeria. TARGET: Journalists, bloggers, students of media studies and journalism, media executives and everyone interested and concerned about the future of journalism in Nigeria, particularly in the context of evolving digital technologies. PREMISE & PURPOSE: Quite many Nigerian journalists are absent from the social media; leaving the terrain overrun by a lot of people who may not be bothered by the cherished values of journalism. This summit, first held at the UBA House, Lagos, on 20 February, is geared towards getting more of the journalists social media savvy.
