he 1st, 2nd and 3rd of July saw the esplanade of Ses Variades in Sant Antoni play host to the first edition of Ibiza’s new music festival. With his song “Good morning to the night” Elton John, accompanied by the duet Pnau, came up with its anthem but 123 Ibiza’s motto could well be said to be “Are you gonna go my way?”, one of the songs that could be heard on the third and final day as performed by the New York-based multi-instrumentalist Lenny Kravitz. Many people are already awaiting the second edition of 123 Ibiza next year. Pino Sagliocco, chairman of Live Nation, the promoter in charge of this festival, announced during a short press conference at the end of the festival that indeed, there will be more Rocktronics: “The festival will go on next year. The dream has come true. The festival is alive, more than ever, and no amount of scepticism is going to stop it”. Sagliocco also admitted that Ibiza is a very difficult island but one which is alive and not only to electronic music but to music in general. He would seem to hold the same opinion as

os días 1,2 y 3 de julio han acogido en una explanada de Ses Variades de Sant Antoni la primera edición del nuevo festival de música para Ibiza. El himno lo puso Elton John acompañado del dueto Pnau con su “Good morning to the night” pero el motto del 123 Ibiza se podría resumir como “Are you gonna go my way?”, uno de los temas que se pudieron escuchar el tercer y último día del evento de mano del multiinstrumentista neoyorkino Lenny Kravitz. Son muchos los que ya están esperando la segunda edición del 123 Ibiza para el próximo año. Pino Sagliocco, chairman de Live Nation, la promotora responsable de este festival, anunció en una breve rueda de prensa al finalizar el festival que sí, que habrá más Rocktronic: “El festival seguirá el año que viene. El sueño se ha hecho realidad. El festival está vivo, más que nunca, y ya no hay escepticismos que valgan”. Sagliocco también reconocía que Ibiza es una isla muy difícil, pero una isla viva y no solo para la electrónica, sino para la música en general. Parece ser que de la misma opinión son los

Für die Festivalhymne war Elton John in Begleitung von Pnau mit “Good morning to the night” zuständig. Das Motto von 123 Ibiza könnte allerdings mit dem Song "Are you gonna go my way?" zusammengefasst werden. Dieser wurde am dritten und letzten Tag der Veranstaltung von New Yorks Multitalent Lenny Kravitz zum Besten gegeben. Viele warten jetzt schon auf die zweite Ausgabe von 123 Ibiza im nächsten Jahr. Pino Sagliocco, Vorsitzender des verantwortlichen Festivalveranstalters Live Nation, verkündete in einer kurzen Pressekonferenz am Ende des Festivals, dass es sicherlich noch weitere Rocktronic Festivals geben werde: "Das Festival wird nächstes Jahr weitergehen. Der Traum hat sich erfüllt. Das Festival lebt mehr denn je, daran gibt es keinen Zweifel mehr." Sagliocco räumte allerdings auch ein, dass man auf Ibiza sehr anspruchsvoll ist. Ein Vorteil ist, die Insel lebt, sie lebt für die elektronische Musik und für Musik ganz allgemein.
