We work to reverse indifference and blight in the City of Hyattsville and surrounding communities. We recognize Hyattsville’s social, cultural, and material assets, and are committed to harnessing our community’s potential and talents to revitalize the City and neighboring areas. Is a D.C. native who mastered his artistic skills in childhood. Skuda has extensive experience as a muralist and graphic designer. Since 2016 he has branded countless businesses and painted numerous murals in Washington D.C. for MuralsDC, Double Down Kings, Capsterdam, Guerillas Arts Inc., DC Funk Parade, and Connected DC Sneaker and Apparel Shop.

Is a digital archivist, artist, and filmmaker from Washington DC, living and operating out of Arts District Hyattsville. Her work is focused on documenting artistic and creative processes in order to create more accessible and inclusive digital anthologies that can be used as art educational resources.

Announcing a new Call for Artists at Stanley Martin's Gateway West The Hyattsville Community Development Corporation (HCDC) will be accepting artist proposals for an iconic, permanent sculpture installation for the Belcrest Avenue entrance to Stanley Martin’s new Gateway West Development. Click here to view the call for artists. Since 2001, the Hyattsville CDC has worked on arts programming to showcase a growing artist community while incentivizing successful economic and small business development through informed land use practices, zoning determinations, identifying and recruitment reputable developers, and identifying strategic investment opportunities. The Hyattsville CDC also continues to add public sculptures in the community. Some of the sculpture art programming include Ribbon of Life at University Town Center, Pilgrim's Quandary at Post Park Plaza and Sculptural Bus Shelters at Studio 3807 and Artisan 4100: Brentwood, Maryland. Fresh Art Wraps to Decorate Traffic Boxes in District 3 Since 2017, the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation (HCDC) has conducted a program designed to transform select traffic signal cabinets in Prince George’s County into public artworks. Traffic signal cabinets – the stainless steel structures located at every signalized intersection – are vulnerable to graffiti and vandalism. This project utilizes a public art application to address community blight and enhance the visual landscape. Artist designs are printed on 3M patented vinyl that can be easily maintained, is removable, and has been demonstrated as safe technology to use on signal and utility cabinets. The boxes wrapped with artist designs have anti-graffiti coating and a 5 year warranty against normal exposure to the elements.

County Council member Dannielle Glaros, District 3 partnered with the Hyattsville CDC to sponsor ten traffic box art wraps in her district. The CDC continues to invite area municipalities, agencies and businesses partnership on future iterations of this program throughout the County. Congratulations to the selected artists designs Andrea Noel, Daniel M. McNeil, Joel Traylor, Julie Ainsworth, Patti Doyen, Samuel Dixon and Elizabeth Sumner.
