UNISON PRAYER: Loving Father, today and every day, we worship YOU. We praise you for your unceasing love for us. Father, may we be glad when it is said to us, "Let us go into the house of the Lord!" Let it be our delight as well as our responsibility to worship you in the fellowship of your church. Prepare us in mind and spirit for our worship, and tune our hearts to sing and speak your praise. May we receive all that you have to give to us, and offer all that you require from us. May our lives as well as our lips glorify you. You have given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In Him we are loved, ransomed, healed, restored and forgiven. This morning give us a heart to praise you, our God and father. Accept our worship and praise both silent, spoken and sung to the glory of your holy name. May our lips and lives glorify you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE READINGS: 1 Corinthians 1:4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. Psalms 145:18 The LORD is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth. Matthew 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? service. The next evening service will be Nov. 17. We will continue to serve the free lunch on the third Saturday of each month. The next lunch is Oct. 20. The mid-week Bible study COME JOIN US ON WEDESDAY FOR OUR MID WEEK BIBLE STUDY: A LIFE GOD REWARDS THE SEVEN MAIN WORKS GOD REWARDS: The shocking revelation why Jesus said to be a great 'employee' We don't earn our way to heaven by good works. We are saved by faith. But once we are saved, we do good works out of gratitude for what God has done for us. These actions will all be rewarded some day--not just the grand acts of sacrifice, but also small, everyday acts of love. What are the main works that God rewards? You might be surprised by what they are. You don't have to be a spiritual superstar to qualify for eternal rewards. Are you a good husband? Are you a loving mom? Are you a loyal employee? The activities that God rewards are woven into the warp and woof of life, from the time you get up until the time you go to bed. MARK YOUR CALENDAR! OCT. 21
