The Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor three “Meet Me In The Street” outdoor concerts. On May 26, The Castaways will perform a free concert in downtown Henderson, followed on July 14 by the Konnection Band. Both performance will be held on Breckenridge Street from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Vendors will be on hand with concession food items and Harris Inc. will provide beverages. A third concert event is planned for Sept. 1. This year’s Alive After Five events, sponsored by the Granville County Chamber of Commerce, will kick off May 12 in Oxford with Jim Quick and The Coastline Band as featured performers. The second event, which will be held in Creedmoor on Aug. 4, will feature The Craig Woolard Band. The Legends of Beach will perform for the last concert of the series on Sept. 22 in Oxford.
