The Youth Volunteer of the Year Award is an honor presented by Catholic Aid Association to recognize a young adult within the Catholic Aid Association who, through example and accomplishment, provided outstanding volunteer service to his or her community and/or council during the past year. Description of the Award: The 2010 Youth Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented to the honoree at the Catholic Aid Annual Convention at the Northland Inn on August 7, 2010 or at a membership meeting in his or her area in 2010. The honoree will be recognized in the “Catholic Aid Journey” and on the Catholic Aid website. The honoree may gain publicity in his or her local paper and parish. Eligibility: The nominee must be: A member of the Catholic Aid Association Between the ages of 16‐30 years old Experienced in community service/volunteering Strong in their faith and encourage others to be faithful as well A good representative of their age group and a good image of a young person The nominee must not be related to the person who nominated him/her. Deadline: Nominations for this award will be accepted in the Fraternal Department until June 1st, 2010.
