1st April – Math games and Trip to Évora “The first day, as all the others was amazing we arrived at school and played different games connected with maths. In the afternoon we visited Évora, a unique town with a unique university dating back to the 13 century.” Daniel Popov

“I am glad I had the opportunity to visit this old but beautiful and well preserved University in Evora, as well as learning useful facts about it and its history.” Gergana Dzhadzeva

This project has been really fun, and it’s a really good experience, I got to know new and nice people. We can learn a lot with this kind of activities and I think the school should continue with it and try to expand it. Tiago Ramalho

2nd April - Random Cooking and PeddyPaper I believe the project Comenius is a great opportunity for students to meet other teenagers from different countries, share experiences and learn more about their cultures. This contact with foreign students allowed us to be more open minded and to accept different ideas or points of view. (…) We had a chance to visit Sintra and Évora, and participate in many activities, such as Math games, a paper chase game, workshops, etc.. I had so much fun, it was incredible! I made friends for life, and I will never forget this amazing experience. Joana Barbosa 2

3nd April – Trip to Sintra and to Lisbon “But in my opinion one of the most remarkable things we saw during this week was “Palacio da Pena” – a unique site which takes you back in time. May be we didn’t see much of Lisbon but what we saw showed us how big and how beautiful it is. I am happy I had the chance to see, although a small part, the Portuguese capital.” Gergana Dzhadzeva

During the third day we visited Sintra and Lisbon. In Sintra we saw two castles. Palacio da Pena is enormous, beautiful and very well preserved. It’s built on a hill. Looking at it from the foot of the hill you imagine what it was like in the past when people lived in it. The other castle was Palacio da Villa. It was smaller but older. These were the first castles I visited and they both had very intriguing history. After visiting Sintra we went to Lisbon. During our free time there we walked along a street at the end of which you could see the ocean. I liked both cities a lot. These are the most beautiful cities I have seen, with a lot of historical places and beautiful parks. Daniel Popov

This project was very interesting and with it I got to know new people and new cultures, everything was fun and everyone was nice. I learned a lot from this project and I think this kind of projects are an opportunity to help everyone improve not just Maths but everything else. Rafael Clemente

4th April – Trip to Badoka Safari Park When I came to Portugal I knew it was going to be a perfect and unforgettable week. The program prepared for us was really interesting, but it was even better because of the hard work and effort of all the students and teachers. The culture is completely different there. You won´t find a castle like Palácio da Pena for example here. Because of the Portuguese nature I had an opportunity to see animals in Badoca Safari Park living like in the wilderness. By the way, when we were in Évora I found you have delicious rice and tiles everywhere. But the best part was the trip to Lisbon on my birthday. I couldn´t ask for better gift. My dream came true when I finally visited Hard Rock Café. It was something unbelievable. My friend was excited as well because his dream was to play with street musicians somewhere. And it happened there. I guess I wouldn´t obtain three birthday cakes here in Slovakia. People in Portugal are really nice and cool and thanks to them I really had the best week in my life. Thank you so much for everything and I´m just waiting until we meet again. Radovan Bunganič
