Beautiful Bournemouth A Door to Door* Tour

5&6 Days

from

£319

With the stunning Dorset countryside as a neighbour, seven miles of glorious sandy beaches and acres of parks and gardens, Bournemouth has something for everyone. The mild winters and sunny summers make this delightful seaside town a resort for all seasons, with a profusion of shops, boutiques and seaside quirkiness that keeps us entertained. There’s a wealth of attractions, pretty towns and villages and of course the magnificent New Forest where ponies and cattle graze the land. Head deeper into the forest and see natural scenes that remain unchanged by the modern world.

Your Excursions Shaftesbury

Exbury Gardens We head out for a morning excursion visiting the beautiful Exbury Gardens, one of the finest woodland gardens in the country. Famous for its collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, this breathtaking collection consists of over ten thousand specimens with flowers peaking in May. Autumn sees the garden transform into a striking array of colour when the waterside maple, azaleas and dogwood smoulder in shades of red, gold and amber. We include a train journey through the gardens so sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery. Christchurch & The New Forest Another day we head to the pretty harbour town of Christchurch, where there’s time for a stroll along the Harbour Quay or maybe visit the castle ruins. We then rejoin the coach and head to into the centre of the New Forest where we visit the lovely village of Lyndhurst with its cosy tearooms and wide variety of shops. Why not pop into the New Forest Museum which gives a unique guide to the history and heritage of the forest? Shaftesbury & Sherborne Today’s excursion sees us heading to Shaftesbury; this pretty market town is home to Gold Hill (made famous by the Hovis advertisement) and has amazing views over the Blackmore Vale. The friendly town has a wide variety of shops and cafés to visit or you might want to take a walk around the Abbey ruins or visit the Gold Hill Museum. In the afternoon we head to Sherborne, one of the most beautiful towns in England with its abundance of medieval buildings, superb abbey and two castles. The town has a delightful shopping centre with a large choice of handcrafted goods, art and antiques (six day holidays only).
