Indigo Therapy Specialists introduces revolutionary new treatment

It’s that time of the year again. The latest equipment has arrived, the weather is shaping up and tee times are filling up. While the new drivers on the market are boasting maximum distance and accuracy, one must remember the engine behind that driver - your body.

protocols and therapy equipment to keep you active.

AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill Indigo Therapy Specialists is among the leading providers offering this ground-breaking treatment utilized by athletes, military facilities and world-renowned medical centers. The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is revolutionizing fitness by allowing you to run or walk with reduced impact. Through patented NASA technology, the Anti-Gravity Treadmill provides up to 80% body weight support to reduce the stress and strain on your body. The benefits of controlling gravity and reducing your body weight while you walk or run allow you to:

That’s right, the limiting factor to driving the ball farther, hitting fairways and greens might not be what’s in your bag but who is carrying your bag - you. Golf specific exercises are number one way to increase distance, improve accuracy and enjoy more golf. For the majority who just play golf or perform light exercise, age related loss of muscle mass become a major factor in the loss of flexibility and power, resulting in shorter drives and decreased accuracy year-after-year.

Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ

The number one reason for golfers to give up the sport is injury. A little bit of exercise can go a long way. However, a plan comprised of specific exercises to improve your weaknesses that break down your swing and steal precious power can literally change your game.

Run without discomfort or pain Burn more calories by going farther or faster than you normally can Train through injuries Feel the joy of running without the impact on your joints

Astym Treatment Astym treatment is a therapy that regenerates healthy soft tissues and eliminates or reduces unwanted scar tissue that may be causing pain or movement restrictions.

In addition, TPI has linked physical limitations in a player’s body to the most common swing faults. As a result, TPI has developed hundreds of golf specific exercises to reduce or eliminate these physical limitations. Through a TPI certified golf medical professional you can obtain a specific exercise program and physical assessment with treatment to improve body mechanics, strength and efficiency. Make this the year you fine tune that motor to get 20 extra yards, play pain free and enjoy the game we all love.

Astym Treatment Benefits: Astym Treatment works quickly - a typical course of treatment lasts only four to six weeks (8-10 visits). You get to stay active - during Astym therapy you are actually encouraged to continue normal activities. You can still stay in your sport or favorite activity without having to take time off from your life while you recover. Ÿ It is non-nvasive - no needles and no incisions. Ÿ Astym treatment doesn’t just treat the symptoms or hide a problem with a temporary solution. Instead the Astym process stimulates the body to regenerate healthy tissues and heal properly and completely. Ÿ Only certified Astym therapists and Athletic Trainers at Indigo Therapy Specialists offer this therapy. Our certified clinicians undergo intensive training and they will give you the results you expect from Astym treatment. Ÿ Astym treatment was developed by experienced medical professionals through years of clinical use and detailed research.

Dry Needling Dry Needling is based on neuroanatomy and modern scientific study. It is a technique that is unequaled in finding and eliminating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction that leads to pain and functional deficits.

Working with a Titleist Performance Institute (”TPI”) certified medical professional gives you an inside track to just that. TPI has collected data over the years analyzing thousands of professional and amateur golfers developing an understanding of how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most effective way.

Ÿ

Ÿ

Dry Needling works by causing a micro lesion within the pathological tissue, breaking up shortened tissues and inhibiting a reflex arc from the nervous system to the tissue; thereby, normalizing the inflammatory response and centrally mediating the pain. This mechanical and neuromuscular effect provides an environment that enhances the body’s ability to heal which leads to a reduction in pain.

Call one of our clinics to discuss which treatment is right for you!
