4/17: Explorer Girls At Cape Island Baptist Church

«

The Explorer Girls of Cape Island Baptist Church meet Wednesday nights from October through May for singing, Bible study, and the planning of special mission projects, like singing for Victorian Towers residents or taking collections for the Cape May Food Closet. This particular event was the culmination of a month-long project called “Have a Heart for Homeless Pets.” The Explorers — there are up to 30 of them at one time, ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade — brought in various donations for the Animal Outreach shelter in West Cape May. “It’s so rewarding to see these girls on Wednesday nights, to worship with them, and teach them about faith and the plans that God has for their lives,” said program coordinator Tracey Martin. “We often learn as much from the girls as we teach them. And they might be ‘just’ school-age girls, but look what they’ve accomplished for Animal Outreach! The photo doesn’t even include everythihg we collected.” I feel blessed to be a part of this group.” A special shout-out to the rest of the congregation for their constant support.
