Experience Joseph Haydn’s music at the place where it was composed. The famous maestro and “inventor of the string quartet” was in the service of the Esterházy princes for some forty years. It was here that he wrote his legendary “Emperor’s Hymn” – today the German national anthem.

From original instruments to themed installations, Joseph Haydn, musical genius and the Esterházy‘s Hofkapellmeister, comes to life in the exhibition 'Haydn Explosive'. The highlight of the tour is the Haydn Hall, world-famous for its acoustics.

Ihe stylish restaurant in the former court stables is a special setting in which to enjoy classic Esterhazy dishes and Pannonian specialities. Afterwards we will embark on a unique journey of discovery through Esterházy Palace. A highlight of the tour is the Haydn Hall, famous throughout the world for its acoustics.

Here, where Lord Nelson enjoyed Haydn’s melodies, the Esterházy princes played a prominent role in European history for centuries. After visiting the exhibitions at Esterházy Palace, enjoy a slice of cake with coffee at the Restaurant Henrici.

This guided tour of Esterházy Palace offers a glimpse into the rich history of the princely family, including a viewing of the impressive rooms of their Eisenstadt residence. The highlight and real gem of this tour is the Haydnsaal. Next, at the Esterhazy winery an expert gives you a tour of the winery‘s cellars, where you‘ll gain a unique insight into the world of wine. The experience is rounded off with a tasting of five wines with bread.
