Nestled in the open countryside between the Leitha Hills and the steppe lake, the natural beauty of the Rust Hills is a further attraction for visitors to the Lake Neusiedl region. St. Margarethen Quarry, one of Europe’s largest and oldest, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. At the Esterhazy Winery an expert tour of the cellars will bring the world of wine and winemaking to life and you can savour the many tastes of Pannonia by the glass.
