Activité culturelle El pasado martes 28 de noviembre de 2017, tuvimos el placer de asistir a una presentación de la ciudad francesa: “Angoulême- la ville des festivals” realizada por Muriel OLIVIER. La conferencia, organizada por el departamento de francés, se realizó en lengua francesa. En primer lugar, la conferenciante situó Angoulême geográficamente e históricamente. Explicó acontecimientos históricos relacionados con los españoles en esta ciudad durante la Segunda Guerra mundial. A continuación, aclaró el titulo de su presentación - Angoulême y sus festivales- Una ciudad conocida por el TEBEO, las películas de animación etc. Dio explicaciones en cuanto a la nueva región: “La Nouvelle Aquitaine” a la que pertenece Angoulême. Por otra parte, presentó distintos aspectos: su río, la Charente, su gastronomía, sus vinos, sus monumentos impresionantes, su vida cultural y su faceta económica. Por último, contó su relacion con otras ciudades de la región como por ejemplo Cognac, entre otras. La actividad tuvo una gran acogida. Asistieron alrededor de cincuenta alumnos.

Fear of public speaking? Fear of public speaking? Break the back of the beast! It is a fact that giving a speech, even to a small audience, is an experience most people dread. Despite being a relatively common pursuit in our lives, it seems that is still the cause of uneasiness for many of us, and an ability that need to be improve. Here is some practical advice which may help you to overcome your stage fright and to deliver a successful presentation.
Subject and preparation Firstly, it is essential to lay the groundwork for a sound speech, consequently, you will need to exhaustively know your topic and keep your ideas organized. In other words: you will need to create an outline, do research, and include facts and amusing anecdotes to enrich your speech. In my view, the reason people can speak confidently about certain domains is because they have years of experience, training, or personal study to back them up. Put them in a situation where they need to discuss anything they have no familiarity with and without adequate preparation time, and they will falter. 8

Practice makes perfect Secondly, practice is a matter of the utmost importance, because the more you train, the more you will master the address. That is to say that our speech needs to be “performed”, but not only speaking: timing, tone, body language and gestures need to be rehearsed. By way of illustration, speaking to a mirror, or recording yourself while speaking. The usefulness of this activities it is hard to dispute, owing to the fact that it will immediately point out our flaws, letting us to enhance our performance. Everything counts Nevertheless, when undertaking this project, other significant issues will require your attention. By this I mean aspects such as: your intended audience and its level of knowledge of the subject, the setting and the accessible audio-visual media, the allotted time and the materials or hangouts, (in case we provide any), etc. A classic illustration of this is to make sure that our USB memory device works accurately on the stage’s computer!

Fear of public speaking? Youths Suffering from Severe Lack of Communication Expertise Feeling and enthusiasm Finally, to my mind, while you are speaking in public it is important being authentic. As far as I am concerned, you should put feeling into your speech and be enthusiastic about your topic, it will help get your audience excited about it too. The more excited about and connected to your presentation your audience is, the more likely your message will resonate with them. In conclusion, there are certain tips to successfully give public speeches and not die trying. Follow them, be steady and you will bring it to fruition. However, do not forget my favourite piece of advice: you are…you, be authentic rather than perfect! Conchi Tomé – C2

Society Youths Suffering from Severe Lack of Communication Expertise Last week The International Job Fair for Youth took place in Dublin. Since this city has plenty of international companies, especially related to technology, the fair was a total success both for employers looking for fresh minds, and for youngsters and recently graduated people pursuing a chance to step into the labour market or simply searching information. Nevertheless, all that glitters is not gold, and important conclusions were drawn from the survey held among the participant companies, but not all were good news. Above all, the fact that some youths, despite being pretty web academically prepared, have a huge lack of basic communication skills stands out.
What does this issue stem from?. Who is the culprit of this shortcoming?. In no way can we blame the educational system or, at least, not completely. Society and technology have a great deal of influence as well. First of all, these youths belong to what has been named “Generation Y” – they are also called millennials. They have grown up surrounded by technology, and they are used to managing it in an amazingly natural way. Not only do the master all kind of technological gadgets and contraptions, but they use them for almost every single task in their day-to-day life. This is too good a thing to waste it, since they can take advantage of having a lot of resources and information just at their fingertips. Yet it also has some drawbacks. One important point to be taken into account is that they are used to learning and assimilating information in a visual mode to the detriment of reading – not to mention reading literature. It goes without saying that it has a direct impact on their spelling and usage of grammar.

Society Youths Suffering from Severe Lack of Communication Expertise Secondly, new ways of non-oral communication have appeared and are widespread, in which it is pretty usual to use written language in a particular way, full of contractions and word deformations, almost cryptical – hard though I try, sometimes I cannot fathom my children´s messages. Needles to say, it does not have a healthy influence on their writing skills either – not in the least.
Furthermore, another point to be taken into account is the use of social media our youths make. To the naked eye, they are a quite effective resource to keep in touch with people and even increase their contact networks. Nonetheless, the issue comes out here from the overuse of them, which can provoke a scarcity of face-to-face relationships, and thus, oral skills and reallife interactions can be affected, even jeopardised. And last but not least, there is another huge danger which stems from the virtual life that technology provides us with. Some youths feel like hiding their real flaws in that parallel realm instead of tackling them in the physical life and trying to improve them and eventually overcoming them. What is more, in some extreme cases, it could even end up in a personality underdevelopment. Besides, dawdling time away playing or chatting in that virtual world can be a good thing once in a while, but, as a general rule, it is total waste of time, which surely has a direct impact on their academic performance.

As far as I am concerned, technology has changed our lives, that is irrefutable. However hard you try to resist it, it is inevitable. Usefulness notwithstanding, we must be aware of the possible dangers and hazards that technology involves, and so preventing it from spoiling other facets of our lives like communication skills. This is crucial among young people, since they are still developing such essential skills. Of course, it is up to parents, teachers and, overall, society to help them achieve that goal. On the whole, what we know as “The Technological Era” is here and even new times are yet to come, but it does not mean that the basic rules have to be neglected. Moreover, remember what is widely said: “Good grammar and spelling are like personal hygiene – you can ignore them if you want, but do not be surprised when people draw their conclusions”. Learning English Learning English
Last week I studied using the platform. This is how I usually study, but it takes me a long time. I can't finish it. I haven't time to study every day. Finally I decided to study only the first part, watch the videos and do the lst part: the consolidation. I think it's the most important thing. Society Corruption It has always been said that evil belongs in human nature, thus it has always existed and greed is just one of its incarnations. Unfortunately one of its more visible sides, corruption, is a very well-known term nowadays, especially regarding politicians, and it has become one of the biggest concerns among the citizenship. Having said so, one may be led to believe that corruption is inevitable in politics.
 Regarding this topic, several different viewpoints may be considered: corruption as either a personal problem or a social problem; corruption as a politics-related problem or something that can happen in any field in which money management is involved. On the one hand, a high rate of corrupt people in a society may lead us to think about a social problem, meaning it is something that is somehow accepted in the mindset of the society. This is illustrated by the current situation of corruption in Spain (Gurtel and so many other cases). On the other hand, the proportion of corruption in politics is a lot higher than in any other field of business, presumably because public funds seem to belong to nobody and appear to be more easily stolen, or maybe because politicians grant themselves personal rights over those funds with impunity. Again and unfortunately, Spain can be used as a case in point.

Society Corruption Set against these are the cases of non-corruption or, at least, zero tolerance of corruption, as happens in northern European countries (i.e. Iceland). This fact confirms that corruption is not inevitable in politics. Therefore, there must be ways in which this problem can be solved or, at least, minimised.
In a nutshell, corruption can be prevented or, at least, controlled. In my opinion, politicians should give account of their management and the citizens must be able to demand a clear and honest account of the public funds they’ve managed as well as implementing laws that make politicians pay with their personal assets when facing accusations of financial mismanagement of public funds. Additionally, it is essential that the Justice Department applies the law in a firm and exemplary way. Doing so would have a dissuasive effect on other potential politicians who might think about behaving in a corrupt way and, in the long run, it would bring about a change for the better in the mindset of the society. Richard Thaler The work of Thaler deals about anomalies of our behaviour (the way in which one acts) when we make decisions. Thaler have shown that most of our decisions have an irrational component, that the context of an economic choice matters, and that we can use this component to improve our society. The Nobel Prize of economy of 2017, has been awarded by Richard Thaler, by his studies about the human behaviour related with economic issues. Richard Thaler, an American born in New Jersey in 1945, began in the seventies his studies about behavioural economics. This field, which starts by A. Tversky and D. Kahneman, mixes psychology of decision with economics. The main idea is what, sometimes, we are less rational than we believe, although we can think what our decisions are the result of rational analysis.

The use of these anomalies of our behaviour is named by Thaler as “nudge” or “nudging”, with the meaning of “to push” to people to make decisions, maintain their freedom of choice. Private companies take into account, for example, in shopping centres, to “nudge” us to buy. Also, the administration can use it. The ex-Prime Minister of UK, David Cameron, created one “nudge unit” in 2010, in 2016 they have conducted 163 trials in 25 countries. Other countries have created similar units too.
Psychology
A classic example of nudge’s application take account that when a decision is made people usually maintain it. In the real world, there is a lot of inertia. People follow old routines and seem "stuck“ to them, even when the "rational" is to change their behaviour. Because this, in the selfservice of meals in school cafeterias, once the students make a choose is difficult to change it, so to put the healthy foods at the beginning is a nudge towards a healthier meal. This reduces the amount of unhealthy food students take.
Another theory says that we give more value to the things when they are ours than when they are of someone else. This explains that the bad feeling for a loss is stronger than the feeling when we achieve the same thing. Because of this, especially for young people, you can fall into the trap of feeling more obligated to avoid penalties and losses than to get discounts, although they have the same value. These are only some examples of one branch of economics that is growing nowadays.

Generation Gap Similarities and differences between generations in my family My grandparents were born at the end of the nineteenth century and they lived in a little village in Zamora. Their way of living was nearer the Middle Ages than now. They worked the fields with rudimentary tools, they lived in the same space as their animals. They didn’t have drinking water or electricity, or any comfort. They cooked on a fire made in the ground. Also they made a lot of their clothes. They lived isolated without radio, TV, newspapers, nothing... Most of their generation couldn’t read or write. As you can see they had to endure a difficult life. The first half of my parents’ life was similar to my grandparents’ life, but when they turned 40, they moved to Madrid and their way of living changed very much. However, I was born right in the middle of the 20th century, and shortly after my arrival in the world, life began to change at supersonic speed. On the one hand, culture reached many people and the media reached all corners.

On the other hand, the houses were filled with appliances that made life easier, cars filled the cities, workers had rest times and holidays and social security. All this made people leave the countryside and move to the cities looking for a better life. In the end technology appeared and things went on changing at a higher speed... For better or worse? I don’t know.

Geschichten Liebe im Steinbruch. Eine typische Liebesgeschichte.
Matthias Kraft und Britta Pflanzer lebten in der Nähe von Dortmund. Sie arbeitete als Putzfrau in der Villa der Familie Kraft. Von Anfang an hatten sie eine freundschaftliche Beziehung und gingen jeden Nachmittag an einem Steinbruch in der Nähe spazieren. Drei Monate später wurde diese Beziehung zu einer leidenschaftlichen Liebesgeschichte. Aber plötzlich wussten sie, dass ... Britta schwanger war. Brittas Familie war sehr glücklich, weil es ihr erstes Enkelkind war. Die Reaktion von Mattias Familie war jedoch mit Wut und Zorn! Sie baten Mattias, ihre Beziehung zu brechen und wenn nicht, drohten sie, sein Erbe wegzunehmen. Aber Matthias und Britta waren sehr verliebt und beschlossen, nach Amsterdam zu fliehen und ein neues Leben zu beginnen. Und sie lebten 2 Jahre lang wirklich glücklich zusammen.
Aber dieses Glück wurde unterbrochen, als ein Arbeitskollege von Britta erschien und sie sich in ihn verliebte. Nach einer Zeit mit vielen Diskussionen und Problemen, wurden Matthias und Britta endlich geschieden. Britta ging mit ihrer neuen Liebe und ihrem Sohn nach Brasilien, um eine neue Seite in ihrem Leben zu beginnen. Mattias fühlte sich dann ohne Ziel in seinem Leben und betrübt und bedrückt. Er war wirklich einsam in Amsterdam. Er entschied sich endlich nach Deutschland zurückzukehren, um zu versuchen die Beziehung mit seiner Familie zu verbessen. Das war nicht einfach und viele Komplikationen tauchten auf ... aber das ist eine andere Geschichte. Javier de Álvaro – Avanzado 2

History A short history about the birth of basketball The basketball was born in USA in 1899, his birth answered to the need to find some sport to practice indoor during the hard winter in the North of the country. His creator was James Naismith (a Canadian teacher from Sprinfield's University in Massachussets) and the origin was when he remembered a game called "duck on a roc" and he solicited some boxes and the school manager only got some peach basket.
Those baskets were placed at the top of the gym and Naismith invented thirteen rules for the game and the most important was this: the team got a point when the ball fell in the basket after a throw. But, when did basketball arrive to Spain? It was in 1921 throught Padre Eusebio Millán than knew this sport in Cuba in the year of 1906. He brought basketball for first time in Spain at the “Pías de San Antón” school in Barcelona but, at the beginning, young people only loved football and they not interested in basketball.

A short history about the birth of basketball Padre Millán had a decision, he hid all the football balls and his students only could play to basketball, however, they refused and Millán proposed an accord, three days football and three days basketball. After one year, in 1922, Millan create the first national club in Spain: Laieta basket club and the first game was the same year against “El Europa” in a historic day, 8th april 1922 with a very short result: 8-4 won Laieta. Since Then, basketball has been growing in Spain, much more in USA, but our selection has reached a lot of success, the most important, two medals of silver in Olympics Games and one World Championship in 2006.

Filmkritik Der Olivenbaum Der Film „Der Olivenbaum“ erzählt die Geschichte einer jungen Frau, es geht um die Beziehung zu ihrem Großvater durch einen Olivenbaum und die Bemühungen sie macht um das Unmögliche zu versuchen. Alma, anfang 20, rebellisch und impulsiv, die Heldin des Films, erlebt seit fast 10 Jahren, was der Immobilien- und Finanzcrash von 2007 im Leben ihrer Familie und um sie herum angerichtet hat.
Zurzeit sind die Träume des Booms längst geplatzt, das Restaurant eine Ruine. Alma jobbt auf einer Geflügelfarm; ihr Vater Luis ist in den wenig einträglichen Olivenanbau zurückgekehrt; ihr schräger Onkel Alcachofas schuftet nun schlecht bezahlt als LKW-Fahrer. Alma beschließt zu handeln: Sie will den Olivenbaum nach Hause zurückholen, um so dem Großvater seinen größten Wunsch zu erfüllen.
Dagegen steht die Erinnerung an eine glückliche Kindheit, an die Fröhlichkeit des Großvaters und den Zauber des Olivenbaums. Almas ganze Liebe gilt ihrem Großvater, der nicht mehr spricht und langsam im Nebel des Alters zu verschwinden droht, seit die Familie vor Jahren gegen seinen Willen den uralten Olivenbaum verkauft hat, von dem es heißt, er sei zu Zeiten des antiken Roms gepflanzt worden. 30.000 Euro brachte der Baum damals ein, genug, um sich die Zustimmung des Bürgermeisters zum Bau eines Restaurants direkt am Strand zu erkaufen.

Doch der Baum steht längst als Symbol für Nachhaltigkeit eingetopft im Atrium eines Düsseldorfer Energiekonzerns und ist sogar Teil des Firmenlogos geworden. Hals über Kopf stürzt sich Alma in eine Reise, die Don Quijote alle Ehre machen würde. Um so mehr, als die beiden Sancho Pansas, ihr schräger Onkel Alcachofa und ihr still verliebter Kollege Rafa, keine Ahnung davon haben, wie schwierig die Unternehmung ist, auf die sie sich da einlassen.
Filmkritik Rafa „leiht“ über das Wochenende einen Tieflade-Sattelschlepper mit Kran von seinem Chef und er, Alma sowie Alcachofa fahren los. Alma aber hat Rafa und ihren Onkel Alcachofa angelogen, denn sie keinen Plan hat.
Ihre Freundinnen Wiki, eine Internetspezialistin, und die Vegetarierin Adelle gründen inzwischen eine FacebookGruppe „Free-The-Tree“. Durch die Facebook-Gruppe ausgelöst kommt es zu einer Demonstration gegen die Firma. Demonstranten und das Trio gelangen in die Eingangshalle. Alma klettert sofort hoch in den Baum, wie sie es schon als kleines Mädchen getan hatte. Gerade da trifft die Nachricht vom Tode ihres Großvaters ein. Tiefbetrübt und ohne Baum kehren die drei in ihr Dorf zurück. Alma hat einen kleinen Zweig von ihrem Baum genommen, den man feierlich einpflanzt.
Trotzdem war die Reise nicht vergebens, denn das alles hat dazu geführt, dass Estrella wieder zu Alcachofa gefunden hat, Alma wieder mit ihrem Vater spricht und Rafa sich wieder Hoffnungen machen darf. „El Olivo“ erzählt davon, dass es vielleicht viele Don Quijotes wie Alma braucht, die Unmögliches wagen, um am Ende womöglich am Anfang von etwas Neuem zu stehen. Filmkritik Frau Ella Sacha ist ein junger Mann der gerade eine wichtige Nachricht von seiner Freundin bekommen hat; er wird Vater. Wegen der Nachricht haben beide ein Umfall, Sascha konnte nicht glauben, dass er Vater wird. . Sascha wird ins Krankenhaus gebracht und zum Glück wurde seine schwangere Freundin nicht verletzt. Dort im Krankenhaus lernt Sascha Ella kennen, sie ist eine ältere Dame, die sehr allein ist. Mit Sascha lebt sie große Abenteuer, eines Tages entführt Sascha Ella und bringt sie zu sie nach Hause. Im Saschas Haus lernt Ella Saschas Freundin kennen und sie sieht dass beid sich geschritten haben, Ella findet die Situation nicht angenehm und empfiehlt Sascha, dass er mit seiner Freundin sprechen soll, um zu sehen ob sich da etwas regeln lässt.

Filmkritik FORRESTER GEFUNDEN! (Originaltittle: Finding Forrester)

Es geht um einen afroamerikanische Jungen , der in der Bronx lebt. Er hat eine unglaubliche Fähigkeit für das Schreiben und Basketball. Als er die höchste Note einem Intelligenztest bekam, wurde eine private Schule in Manhattan auf ihn aufmerksam. In der neue Schule fand er eine Freundin und gleichzeitig traf er einen alten Mann, der in seiner Nachbarnschaft wohnte. Dieser Mann war der mysteriöser Schriftsteller, der ein Pullitzer Preis gewonnen hatte aber seitdem verschwunden war und hat kein Buch mehr geschrieben. Filmkritik MONSIEUR IBRAHIM UND DIE BLUMEN DES KORAN Zuerst habe ich das Buch gelesen und später habe ich den Film gesehen. Ich werde hier nicht die Geschichte erzählen sondern nur ein bisschen die Hauptpersonen und ihre Beziehung beschreiben.. Mr Ibrahim ist ein über 55-jahrige Mann, der einen kleinen Laden besitzt. Er ist als „Araber“ bekannt aber eigentlich ist er Türke. Offensichtlich nennt man „Araber“ in Frankreich Läden, wenn sie von 8 Uhr morgens bis Mitternacht öffnen. Darüber hat er Momo aufgeklärt.
Moses ist ein frecher 13-jahrige Junge, obwohl er die Strichmädchen belügt und er täuscht vor 16 zu sein. Er wohnt im Gebäude gegenüber von Mr Ibrahims Laden mit seinem Vater. Er fühlt sich überhaupt nicht geliebt: seine Mutter hat seinem Vater verlassen als er ein Kind war und sie hat seinem Bruder mitgenommen.

Er kann sich nicht daran erinnern, aber für seinem Vater macht er immer alles falsch und er vergleicht ihn immer mit seinem „perfekten“ Bruder. Am Anfang des Film haben die beide eine einfache Kunde-Verkäufer Beziehung: kurze Frage und noch kürzere Antworte. Mr Ibrahim entscheidet den Jungen Momo zu nennen. Nachdem Brigitte Bardot eine Wasserflasche im Laden kauft, werden sie echte Freunde.
Momo entdeckt mit Mr Ibrahim, dass man lieben kann und geliebt werden kann. Mr Ibrahim wird für Momo sein einziger Freund, und er wird für ihn sorgen als wenn er sein Sohn wäre. Esther Fernández Albadalejo – C1
A Film Review
Dunkirk: lights and shades Dunkirk (2017) is an intensive and over-hyped warlike drama that supposes the first historical film of Christopher Nolan. It’s an action-packed film made with the spirit of a thriller. It recreates Operation Dynamo, which consisted in the rescue of 300.000 Allied soldiers from the city of Dunkirk during World War II. The British propaganda transformed a total defeat on a symbol of resistence and solidarity among English citizens. The script poses three narrative lines that converge at the ending. Nolan uses narrative tricks to transmit a fake linearity. He’s so worried about the construction of the story that he forgets the characters. They are absolutely flat. We know nothing about them, despite the cast including great names like Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy or Kenneth Branagh. The cinematography is beautiful and the visual effects impeccable, including sequences with sinkings of war boats, air combats and bombings. A special mention for the moving sound track composed by the master Hans Zimmer. Dunkirk is not a masterpiece. It’s a good movie but with no depth. We can question the lack of accuracy in the facts. It’s excessively presumptuous. If you love action films, this is your movie. If you don’t, you will feel disappointed. Alejandro Villa Narros - C1

A Film Review “Lawrence
of
Arabia”
. I will never forget the first time I watched Lawrence of Arabia. I went out of the cinema stunned and speechless. I thought then that Lawrence of Arabia was the reason why film was invented. Even today, I think it is magnificent in every sense.
The movie is based on T.E. Lawrence own writings: “Seven Pillars of Wisdom”. It is a history lesson of a part of the world that continues to make political news today. What starts as a search for understanding about the Arab revolt against the Turks, turns into an exercise of courage, leadership and betrayal. T.E. Lawrence takes control of the revolution, leading the Arabs to victory against the Turkish enemies, only to discover that his superiors have no intention of leaving the Arabs in charge of their own homeland, as a result of the “Sykes-Picot” pact signed by the British and the French. David Lean (as director) demonstrates a mastery of storytelling structure. The impulse to make this movie is based, above all, on his imagination. Lean takes the desert as a stage, filing the big scenes with small telling details, such as the tiny dot which appears on the horizon of the desert and it slowly grows into a human being. The moment when Lawrence blows out a match and it becomes the sunrise over the desert. The dunes undulate in the heat meanwhile Jarre’s score ululates along with it. It’s really breathtaking. The screenplay by Robert Bolt is, without question, one of the greatest of all time. It’s memorable. It is full of quotes, a perfect balance between cynicism and wisdom. The dialogue is not complex, sometimes Bolt makes it so spare that it sounds like poetry. Peter O’Toole, as T.E. Lawrence, made one of the most outrageous debuts in film history. With his performance he combines charisma and craziness, making of T.E. Lawrence a different military hero. He became so involved with his character that he practically learnt “Seven Pillars of Wisdom” (335,000 words) by heart, giving the performance of his life, as the obscure British map maker who becomes a national hero only to flee back into obscurity. The focus that always remains on the quest for Lawrence himself. He was a mass of contradictions. O’Toole’s assignment was a delicate one. The supporting players are no less outstanding than O’Toole, such as Omar Sharif, Alec Guinness, Claude Rains and Jack Hawkins. Lawrence of Arabia was part of the most wide-open Oscar race in decades. It won seven Oscars in 1962, with ten nominations. Lawrence of Arabia is an epic tragedy worthy of Homer, dancing on the boundaries between history and myth. “The dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. However, she dreams of a bike race against her friend Abdullah, and she tries to obtain money with all means at her disposal. Even she wins a Quran recital competition, but unfortunately, she has to give the prize to help Palestina. In the end her father buys the bicycle.
Wadjda or The green bicycle is a featurelength film directed by Haifaa-al Mansour and starring an 11 year-old Saudi girl. It tells the story of a dream. The girl wants to get a green bicycle in a country where a girl is not allowed many things because she is a woman.
In my opinion, this film is worth seeing. On the one hand, it is a story very well told and, on the other hand, the topic is very interesting: a girl who has to struggle hard for her dreams in a hostile environment can encourage other people to try to change their reality. Every day, on her way to school, she sees it in a store. She doesn't have money and her mother doesn't want to help her because a girl mustn’t ride a bicycle.

Erfindungen Der Mopp Manuel Jalón Corominas (1925 2011) war ein spanischer Erfinder, Raumfahrtingenieur, Air Force Offizier und Unternehmer. Er erfand die Einwegspritze und den Mopp. Während eines Aufenthalts in den Vereinigten Staaten beobachtete Manuel Jalón, wie die Hangars mit einem flachen Mopp und einem Eimer mit Rollen gewaschen wurden. Bei seiner Rückreise nach Spanien beschloss er 1956, die ersten Eimer mit Rollen und einem Mopp in Spanien zu produzieren und damit den traditionellen Weg zum Reinigen zu verändern, für immer. Der Mopp ist ein banales Gerät aber mit großer Wirkung, es wurde 1956 auf den Markt gebracht: ein Putzlappen am Stiel. Manuel Jalón verbessert die Lebensqualität in spanischen Häusern und übertrifft die traditionelle Art und Weise auf den Boden auf den Knien zu reinigen, denn mit seinen Erfindungen ist die Reinigung möglich ( Ursache von Knie Bursitis und Wirbelsäulenprobleme) und ohne die Hände durch Bleichmittel zu schädigen.
Im Jahr 1958 gründete er die Firma Manufacturas Rodex, s.a. die seit mehr als 30 Jahren Mops und andere Produkte in mehr als 40 Ländern von den Vereinigten Staaten nach China exportiert. Im Jahr 1989 verkauften Manuel Jalón und mehrere seiner Partner in der Manufakturas Rodex, s.a., nach dem Verkauf von mehr als 60 Millionen Mopps auf der ganzen Welt, ihre Anteile an die niederländische multinationale Curver BV.
Manuel Jalón konzentrierte sich dann seine Anstrengungen auf anderen Projekte, wie zum Beispiel die Einwegspritzen und -nadeln, die in der Fabersanitas-Fabrik in Huesca hergestellt und in mehr als 80 Länder exportier werden. Später wurde die Fabrik von der Gruppe Becton Dickinson gekauft. Als er am 16. Dezember 2011 starb, war der Nachruf «Der Mann, der den Frauen auf die Beine half». Wer bin ich? Wer bin ich? Wer bin ich? Ich weiß es nicht. Jedoch kann ich Angaben zu meiner Person machen. Obwohl ich Wirtschaftswissenschaftlerin von Beruf bin, bin ich zurzeit (seit neun Jahren genau genommen) arbeitslos. Zwar ist es ein bisschen problematisch für mich, keine Arbeit zu haben, aber ich bin sehr neugierig, habe viele Hobbys und finde, dass ich ein Glückspilz bin, da ich mehr Freizeit habe. Aus diesem Grund kann ich heutzutage Museen und Kunstausstellungen besuchen, Musik hören, Bücher lesen, Deutsch lernen, u.s.w.

In den letzten acht Jahren habe ich über 70 Kurse gemacht: Brot backen, über digitale Fotografie, Weinprobe und Sommelierin, Chance- und Lohngleichheit von Männern und Frauen, Risikos und Geschäftsführung, E-Commerce, soziale Netzwerke, ... Zwar gefällt mir Alles und Alles möchte ich lernen, am besten genieße ich aber überglücklich Fotos zu machen und zu retuschieren.
Allerdings bin ich seit einem Jahr auch die Präsidentin meiner Wohnungseigentümergemeinschaft und deshalb habe ich weniger Freizeit. Zum Beispiel, nicht nur haben wir in der letzten Woche Probleme mit Wasser (drei Rohre sind undicht), sondern auch neue problematische Nachbarn in der Nähe wie die Fußballfreunde von Club Atlético de Madrid, die an den Spieltagen unser Stadtviertel verschmutzen. Und deswegen muss ich mich ständig darüber beim Stadtrat beschweren und ein miesepetriges unfreundliches Gesicht machen. Victoria Arauzo – Avanzado 1
A trip to London Dear Diary, I arrived in London today. I took the underground at 06:0 a.m from the Ventas station to the Atocha station, I arrived there at 06:35 a.m. After, I took a train to the Barajas station and I arrived there at 07:20 a.m. I didn't check-in my luggage online and thats the reason why I was waiting for a long time in the checking-desk .Until eight o'clock I was sitting in the departure lounge near gate 25, about nine o'clock I went thtough passport control and I was boardind the plane about 09:30 a.m.I arrived London at eleven o'clock and then I went to my hotel by bus, It was very fast because the hotel was near London City Airport.
Ibis London City Hotel was in the center of the town and I caught the underground and buses to move around there.I had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and I had lunch in a diferent restaurant each day, if I was visiting museums and monuments I bought sandwiches and burguers to eat it while I was waiting to see it.I bought a London Pass card, it was very usefull because you can use all public transport.The journey was wonderful and I saw a lot of places, St. Paul's Cathedral, Blackfriars Bridge, Westminster Abey, Big Ben, Palace of Westminster, Churchill War Rooms, London Bridge,Tower of London and London Eye. It was very interesting and very busy too, I walked 15 km in one day and I arrived exhausted to the hotel. English people are very kind and cooperative. I'll repeat this journey, for sure. Geschichten Märchenstunde Meine Erinnerung an Märchen. Als ich noch Kind war, las ich besonders gern die Märchen von Andersen und die Märchen der Brüder Grimm. Mein Lieblingsmärchen von Andersen war Des Kaisers neue Kleider, weil ich viel lachte, wenn es mir meine Eltern erzählten. Das Märchen Rumpelstiltskin gefiel mir auch. Ich erinnere mich nicht gut an warum, aber ich erinnere mich, es oft zu lesen.
Außerdem habe ich mich vor dem Walfisch aus Pinocchio gefürchtet. Sehr traurig war das Märchen Das kleine Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern und Die Meerjungfrau. Sie hatten sehr unterschiedliche Enden, weil diese unglücklicher als die anderen Märchen waren. Sie waren trotzdem eine von meinen Lieblingsmärchen, weil sie wirklicher als die anderen schienen. Heutzutage lese ich keine Märchen, aber es gefällt mir viel, Filme zu sehen, die sich auf diese Geschichten gründen. Clara Rivera Pérez – Avanzado 1

A Letter of Complaint Dear Sir / Madam I am writing to complain about the sneakers I bought two weeks ago. The purchase was done by me via web and after checking that your site is reliable and you have very good references. As agreed, last Monday I received the package but when I opened the bag, the packaging had a different reference and was a bit broken. I did not give much importance to this detail and put it in my car. Afterwards, at home, I opened the box and surprisingly both shoes were the same foot, the left one. I decided to call the help line to solve this issue but unfortunately it was a really difficult task. It seemed that all the operators were busy. I tried to contact via commercial contact saying that I wanted to make a purchase via phone and in the end I managed to deal with the matter. I was informed by the operator that she was unable to replace the order or offer me a refund. One of the clauses says that product must be in the same conditions as in the delivery, with the original packaging but as it does not correspond to the sneakers I bought, she told me she could not help me. I want to express my dissatisfaction with the operator who assisted me. She was not helpful at all and she took my call as a joke. I am training for the San Silvestre Race and I need to practice with new sneakers at least one month. So I expect to receive instructions on how to return the current box and receive a new pair of shoes, free of additional charges, and I need this to be completely solved before the end of November. If this is not possible, I hope to receive the money back next week as it is said in the web page. I look forward to hearing from you within the next two days. Otherwise I would have to take legal actions You are a big and serious company and, I am totally convinced that it has been just a misunderstanding with the help line service and the packaging service and we are going to solve this situation shortly.
