Editorial
Como ya es costumbre este número especial de Mosaic está dedicado a las actividades de Navidad que se llevaron a cabo en nuestra escuela el 21 de diciembre de 2017. Quiero agradecer a Inma Gutiérrez , Alex Díaz y Elisa Retama su inestimable ayuda en la edición de este número. También y muy especialmente, quiero agradecer a mi compañero de departamento Omar Abuzid su esfuerzo y dedicación, pués invirtió mucho tiempo libre y mucho más cariño en el concierto navideño, también a Patricia Estéban, Julia García y Alicia Fernández y todos l@s alumn@s que participaron, así como a Armelle Nicolás y Julia Harangi por su apoyo y su inigualable talento de animadoras. Gracias a todos ellos, los últimos momentos del año escolar nos han llenado de ilusión y nos han proporcionado fuerzas para emprender este año 2018 Espero que os guste recordar estos momentos y volvemos con la edición regular en abril Nora Carbonell

Recipes Coca de Trempó The result is a kind of pizza that can be eaten either warm or cold, and it is a
great dish to prepare when you have guests at home.
Ingredients: Wheat flour 4 tomatoes 2 green peppers 1 onion Sweet paprika 125 mL of water 125 mL of olive oil Salt Baker’s yeast Coca de Trempó is a simple yet delicious salad from Majorca made with tomatoes, green peppers and onions. It is dressed with extra virgin olive oil and salt, and it tastes like summer, beach and family gatherings. But in this yummy dish is also part of a tasty tart made exclusively in the island. A bread-base dough is the base where vegetables are baked.
1. Dice the pepper and the tomatoes. Cut the onion into strips. Mix in a bowl and season with a stream of olive oil, paprika, salt and pepper (optional). Leave the mix to macerate the for at least two hours. 2. Prepare the dough by putting the water and the olive oil in a bowl (if you want to make a smaller tart you can reduce the amount of liquids, what is important is to put the same volume of water as oil, and then the flour that it admits) and add the yeast. 3. Add a handful of flour, the pinch of salt and stir well with the help of your hands or a spoon. When dissolved, add another handful of flour and continue stirring. Add more flour until the dough becomes firm and it is not sticky in your hands. 4. Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with sulphurized paper. 5. Distribute the vegetables on the dough and bake at 200º C for twenty minutes approximately. Enjoy it with a good red wine and a better company!! Conchi Tomé, C2.

Recipes CHEEKS WITH STRAWBERRY SAUCE
INGREDIENTS FOR 2 PEOPLE:
• 6 pork cheeks • 2 garlic cloves • 1 onion • 2 tablespoons of strawberry jam • ½ l of red wine • Olive oil • Salt • Chopped parsley

PREPARATION: - Peel and chop the garlic. Poach in a pressure cooker with a little oil. - Season the cheeks and sear. Leave them aside in a plate. - Finely chop the onion and put it in the pot and poach. - Introduce the cheeks again and add the jam and the red wine. - Stir the ingredients together well. - Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes from the moment it stars to boil. - Serve the cheeks with abundant sauce. - Decorate with chopped parsley.
Recipes Black and White Cookies INTRODUCTION This dish is called: “black and white cookies”. They are considered a breakfast. The recipe was found in an internet blog, but my sister in law did these cookies and my wife liked the recipe and then she asked for it. I have made this recipe with the supervision of my wife, using the Thermomix. INGGREDIENTS 210 gr. of flour. ½ tea spoon of baking powder. 2 eggs. 100 gr. of sugar. A pinch of salt. ½ tea spoon of vanilla. 250 gr. of chocolate. 55 gr. of butter. STEP 1 Mix the flour with the baking powder. STEP 2 Blend the sugar and the eggs in the Thermomix until you obtain a homogeneous pastry.
STEP 3 While you are blending the sugar and eggs, melt the butter with the chocolate in the microwave.
STEP 4 Put together the chocolate with the pastry of the eggs and sugar. STEP 5 Add the flour little by little and at the same time that it is blending. STEP 6 So you have got the final blend. Keep it in the freezer for forty minutes. STEP 7 Take little portions of the blend and make the cookies, and add the powdered sugar. STEP 8 Bake the cookies in the oven around ten minutes at 190º. FINAL RESULT

Recipes Leek Quiche
INGREDIENTS PASTRY 300 gr plain flour 1/tsp fine sea salt 150 gr butter 1 egg yolk 50 gr wáter FILLING 200 gr cheese gouda 150 gr cooked ham/bacon 200 gr double cream (I didn't find it but I used whipped cream). 4 large eggs ¼ tsp ground black pepper 1 ½ tsp fine sea salt 1 pinch ground nutmeg 400gr leeks

FOOD PREPARATION PASTRY Place the flour , salt and butter in a Deep bowl and hand -mixing. Add egg yolk and water. Mix all the ingredients together for the dough. Tip out onto a large piece of cling film and form into a flat disc about 1 cm thick. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 180ºC and Grease a Deep loose-bottomed fluted tart in (28 cm diameter).

Roll out pastry and press into tar tin. Prick pastry base with a fork, line with baking paper and fill the paper with baking beans then Blake blind for 15 minutes (180ºC) or until Golden. Remove baking beans and bake for a further 5 minutes (180ºC). FILLING Cut the cheese , the ham and the bacon into fragments. Beat the eggs with milk , adding pepper, salt and nutmeg. Spread leeks (sliced in rounds 5mm) evenly over base of pastry case. Pour ham, bacon and cheese mixture over leeks in tart tin and bake 35 min (180 ºC). Serve hot, cut in slices. Habrá dos categorías: o Nivel Intermedio o Nivel Avanzado / Nivel C 3. El tema de los relatos es “Los propósitos de Año Nuevo”. 4. Los relatos, escritos en alemán, francés o inglés, serán originales e inéditos, con una extensión máxima de 50 palabras. Las contracciones cuentan como una palabra. 5. Los textos se enviarán a relatos.navidad@gmail.com indicando en el asunto del correoe: idioma, curso y nombre del autor. El relato se enviará en el cuerpo del mensaje, no en un adjunto. 6. Plazo de presentación: del 27 de noviembre al 14 de diciembre. 7. Se otorgará un premio por cada categoría e idioma. El jurado estará formado por profesores del departamento correspondiente. 8. Los relatos ganadores serán leídos tras la entrega de premios, el día 21 de diciembre a las 20.00h. El premio será recogido únicamente en este acto. En caso de no poder acudir se podrá delegar en otra persona. 9. Todos los relatos se publicarán en la revista virtual de la EOI San Blas, www.educa2.madrid.org/web/centro.eoi.sanblas.madrid. 10. La participación en este concurso conlleva el consentimiento implícito para dicha publicación.

Croisée des langues Quand la cloche sonne, je la vois courir dans le couloir et elle me sourit comme pour s'excuser. Je promets que l'année prochaine nous serons tous les deux en train de sourire devant un café, bien que notre amitié semble impossible: j'étudie français et elle...elle étudie allemand!
L’année prochaine je serai certainement consacrée comme “La Brassens espagnole”. Je dois juste apprendre la guitare, maîtriser la métrique, lire les classiques... Ich sitze in meinem Garten und schaue die Bäume an. Es ist mir unbegreiflich, wieso die Ernte dieses Jahr so knapp war. Nach reiflicher Überlegung habe ich beschlossen, nächstes Jahr mich selbst darum zu kümmern statt andere auf die Palme zu bringen.

Oberstufe Finalisten Neujahrsvorsätze Meine einzige Absicht für das nachste Jahr ist keine Absicht zu machen. Ich weiss ja, dass es kompliziert ist, denn verführerische Pläne werden immer mehr vorgeschlagen um das Leben zu verbessern. Ich habe ein grosser Anreiz zum das Ausprobieren, je wigtiger meiner Absicht war, desto grosser war der Misserfolg. Es war ein mal ein mensche, der abnehmen möchte. Er versprach das. Er machte das nicht. Das deprimiert sich. Und er möchte sterben. Aber ein Tannenbaum sagte: „ich helfe dir zum abnehmen“, und er plötzlich sich verwandeln in Baum. Die Tannenbaum sagt: immer kann es schlechter sein.

1. Podrán participar todos los alumnos matriculados en nuestra EOI en Enseñanza presencial y en la modalidad a distancia “That’s English!”. 2. El tema de los dibujos estará relacionado con uno de los tres idiomas que se imparten en el centro: “un mundo en alemán”, “un mundo en francés” y “un mundo en inglés” y cubrirá cualquiera de los aspectos representativos de las culturas en que se hablan dichos idiomas. 3. El estilo y técnicas serán libres y cada participante sólo podrá presentar un dibujo. 4. Los participantes dispondrán de media hora (30') para completar sus trabajos. Habrá dos sesiones: a las 16:30h y a las 18:30h. 5. El jurado estará formado por profesores y alumnos del departamento correspondiente. 6. Las inscripciones se harán por correo electrónico a la dirección dateprisa.alpintar@gmail.com indicando el nombre e idioma del participante, entre el 27 de noviembre y el 14 de diciembre. 7. Cada participante podrá utilizar únicamente los materiales que se proporcionen en el centro: una lámina DIN –A3 y material de dibujo. 8. El dibujo ganador obtendrá un premio. 9. Los dibujos se expondrán a lo largo del resto del curso en el centro. 10. Todos los trabajos realizado se podrán publicar en la revista virtual de la EOI San Blas, www.educa2.madrid.org/web/centro.eoi.sanblas.madrid. 11. La participación en este concurso supone el consentimiento para dicha publicación.
