The Work Never Ends Most people think that summer is the last time to be thinking about snowmobiling but the fact is, summer is actually the time to maintain grooming equipment to make sure it is ready for the first snowfall. So far this summer, while many of us were standing knee deep in water drinking marga-

ritas, club volunteers have put in upwards of 200 hours with maintenance and repairs on the club’s 3 groomers. The club would like to thank club members, Kyle Pfeiffer, Joe Pitts, Greg Stanton, Pat Winchester, Jeremy Winchester, Shawn Sweatman, and Mike Allenson for giving up their time this summer and for the excellent job they are doing in the off-season to get the groomers ready to run through another season. A brief explanation… About this year’s grand prize. As some of you may recall, the grand prize snowmobile (or 4 wheeler) for the last 2 seasons has been a Polaris. The decision to go Polaris basically came down to cost and the need to get the best bang for the club’s buck so to speak. The grand prize package (snowmobile and 4 wheeler) was put out to bid among the area dealers, and the lowest bidder won. This year we have decided to try something new. Instead of having a bidding process to choose a sled, we decided to just leave the buying decisions up to the raffle winner. And by decisions, I mean choice! We have enlisted the cooperation of 7 snowmobile dealers in the area (because after all, snowmobiling is what we are here for) who all happen to sell other merchandise! Tractors, Lawn Mowers, Boats, Cars, Helmets, Apparel, Chain Saws, Weed Whackers, 4 Wheelers, Motorcycles, Spiders…and much more. With the winning voucher, you will be able to walk into one of 7 dealers and buy whatever you like, and the club will pay $5,000 (or $1,000 for second prize) toward your purchase. You control the brand, the model, the color, size, fit, you name it the decision is yours! What makes this idea so appealing is that tickets should be easy to sell to everyone. everyone Who doesn’t want $5,000 to buy TOYS (or equipment I suppose). Just so everyone is on the same page, there will be a few strings attached, but they are just common sense rules: • •

• • •

The vouchers will be redeemable at any participating dealer for any merchandise in the store. The entire amount must be used at one location. There will be no cash refunds (you must use all of the funds, or you forfeit the difference). The winner is responsible for the difference of any purchase over the value of the voucher (you can spend $10,000 if you want but you must pay for the other $5,000). The voucher will only be valid between October 8th and December 15th 2013 as we do not want this to linger in to next year. The voucher will be kept by the dealer when redeemed. The voucher can be transferred to another individual, with the expressed written consent of the raffle winner, and approval of the club.

So that in a nutshell explains our reasoning behind the vouchers for this year’s raffle. We certainly hope you understand, sell lots of tickets, and enjoy the chance at CHOICE! I look forward to seeing everyone at the show! Think snow! Jamie Carlson President
