GENEROUS MEMBERS STEP UP TO CONTRIBUTE The club would like to send a huge thank you for the great response we received to our unprecedented Call to Action this past September. So many people stepped up to the plate and offered the material and labor that was necessary to repair our trails due to the storm damage caused by heavy rainfall early in the summer. Thanks to your donations, the Club was able to accomplish almost all of the work that was needed to make the trails passable.

Thanks for the Help

Thank you! It could not have been done without you!

Opening Date for Trails Set for December 21st Each year a date is set by the State of NY to officially open the trails. This date typically corresponds with the end of hunting season and is intended to be a general date for trails on public lands. It should be noted that each individual club has the final authority as to whether to open their trails or not. Of course one of the main determining factors when deciding to open the trail system is the existence of adequate snow cover but many other factors are also taken into consideration such as requests of land owners, status of signage and the condition of the trails (removing fallen trees and other obstacles). As with every club, the safety of the riders is of upmost concern when deciding to open our trail system and trails will not be opened until they are determined to be safe to ride. Please respect the Landowners who have graciously given permission for trails to cross their land, and check our website before venturing out. Be safe and have fun!

Meeting Schedule

Ellery Sno-Cruisers regular club meetings will be held at the Bemus Point Golf Club on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, beginning at 7:00. Watch our website for changes and/or updates. www.ellerysnowww.ellerysno-cruisers.org. cruisers.org.

Annual Snowmobile and Outdoor Show was Again Successful It is hard to believe that the Club has been holding it’s annual “Show” for 20 years now. The event proved to be worthwhile fundraiser again this year, thanks to the many business who supported the event and to the many volunteers who donated their time. We lucked out with good weather and that, combined with a by-week for the Bills helped to bring folks out to enjoy a fall day at the lake. In it’s 20th year the event was advertized as the Ellery Sno-Cruisers “Snowmobile and Outdoor Show” because of the clubs effort to make it more diversified. We have been trying to expand it to make it appeal to a larger crowd and key-in on the many recreational opportunities that this area has to offer in addition to snowmobiling. The Ellery Sno-Cruisers wish to offer their sincere thanks to those individuals and businesses listed below who donated to the Show. Please join us in saying thanks by patronizing these businesses for their contributions to your club. Free Money from New York State!! When Fueling up on the trails please remember to go inside and ask to sign the log sheet for your gas purchase. The State of New York will reimburse participating clubs $.08 per gallon of road tax for all fuel sold for use in your snowmobiles. Certain stations in the county are taking the extra step in supporting clubs by keeping the log sheets and collecting the receipts. Please support the stations that are supporting your club.
