I have a stepladder because my real ladder left when I was a kid.

Forgiveness

We all have things going on in our brains that can affect our behavior on a daily basis. Many of us make a lot of mistakes. I know that I do. But more importantly, how do I do when folks make an error around me. I know that sometimes I am slow to forgive over a small slight, such as a negative comment.

I have worked hard to be better at that and sometimes I do well. Some of us will carry some of that ‘hate’ for a long time and it can cost us relationships with friends, family or coworkers. We need to learn that stuff like that cause us as much grief as anyone.

Sore Toe

Strangely, my pinky toe on my good leg is very sore. Sometimes I misplace the cane when I am walking and I have stubbed my toe on it 4 or 5 times. Did you know that a cane goes on your good side so you can take a bit of weight off your bad leg when you walk. It is completely different than crutches.

Robservations

Easter was a nice weekend for me. I actually got out to enjoy a couple events. The Hopkins Easter Egg Hunt was fun. I am pretty immobile so I just spectated but my friends found a few eggs. Thanks to Hopkins for all the work they put into that event.

I also went to the Artisans’ Market at the Community Centre. It was nice to see so many people and lots of vendors. I hope they all did well.

I stayed low Saturday but could see them setting up the kids’ egg hunt up in the soccer fields. They get a great turnout for that every year.

Sunday was off to Church for the first time since I hurt my leg. I have had many folks stop in and pray with me but it was nice to get out to the Radium Christian Fellowship for Easter.

If you throw in some dog walks, that was a nice, busy weekend for me. This is week 11 of healing and it has been a lot of doing nothing. That brought on some depression, for sure. Now I am getting some fresh air and even a bit of exercise. That does a body good anytime. So I pray for no more serious health issues for myself or for anyone else for that matter. I am happy with how I have adapted to my issues so far and can only hope to get stronger as I go. I wish the same for everyone else out there.

Know Thyself

Some people say I’m condescending. That means I talk down to people.

My Writing

Someone thanked me for toning down the ‘tinfoil hat’ stuff in The Valley Peak. You know, all those warnings and predictions that seem to be coming true. Trying to get folks to think their health decisions through. You know, ‘health will never come in a needle’ type information. People still made the choices that seemed right for them.

I think I shall still try to keep people informed about things, like the upcoming digital currency leading to social credit scores and even more tyranny. Covid has been a trial run on compliance and most of us have passed.

Remember that it is important to live your truth and to stand up for yourself and your thoughts.

Watson’s Waddle

Check out Rocky’s photo at the top of this column. Drew here with this week’s Waddle.

If you look closely at Rocky you will see that his nose is covered in dirt. Why is that? Because he is a crazy digger and burier. Any time we get a decent treat (by decent I mean large and tasty), Rocky is off looking for a place to bury his. Now that the ground is softening up, he is in his best glory.

He is amazing at getting a little hole dug and then using his nose to guide the treat into the hole. Then his nose is pushing dirt on top of it, causing the dirty nose. I like to go behind him and dig a few things up. Often he will bury his treat and then hover around me to see if I will put mine down. If he gets it he may chew it up or maybe he will bury it also. Any humans in the area are well entertained by this. I often have to sneak back later and dig up a bone to chew on. Again, the humans get a good laugh out of that. I have yet to bury one but I do get to dig a few up. We had a couple puppies visiting that found one of his stashes. It was hilarious, even for me. Fortunately Rocky is pretty mellow and does not get too worked up over this. I can’t imagine him being a grouchy old dude and letting this all happen.

What Year Was It?

The first Simpsons episode aired on Fox, smoking was banned in bars, the Hubble Telescope was put into orbit by Discovery and the first Harry Potter book was published.

The Exxon Valdez spilled oil, ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ won Best Picture, French and English tunnel workers met under the English Channel and the Soviet Union collapsed. What year was it? See page 7.

Physiotherapy

I have been given a few exercises to help build my leg strength and to get me back to normal mobility. I have been healing well but have hit a bit of a plateau on strength. I am hoping the physio helps with that.

Sobeys

Welcome to my new client, Sobeys. They are a huge part of the community and have taken the step to support The Valley Peak. I enjoy most of their food, including the long sandwich loaves and some of the sweet desserts. I really love when they have baked ham in the deli with the chickens. It always is in good shape and tastes great. We had one for Easter dinner. Yummy food.

Canadian Sports Trivia Answer

The last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup was the Montreal Canadiens in 1993.

420

They say that folks used to get off work or school and meet at 4:20 for a puff of cannabis. I am not sure that it is true but it makes it nice when 4:20 comes around every day.

Cannabis is proving to be more and more useful in fighting disease every day. It is a natural supporter of our immune system and our overall health. It keeps on fighting after nearly 100 years of government and pharmaceutical lies to make it look bad as it takes away from their control and profits. It has many non-medicinal uses as well such as lumber and fuel so you can see the issues that arise from it.

God-Like

Some of our ‘authorities’ have a bit of a God complex. Pretty soon we will see the ‘Ten Commandments of Climate Change’. One thing they know is that the more fear the more we comply without questioning. They will be ramping up climate change propaganda to a pretty crazy level shortly. We have shown them we will comply, no matter how ridiculous the mandates are so they will be coming out with all kinds of climate emergency mandates.

The ‘elites’ fly around in private jets and travel with huge motorcades while preaching to us about climate change. Turn on your critical thinking and you will see through the hypocrisy. Imagine 400 private jets meeting to discuss carbon emissions. Hahahaha.

Ivermectin

Known as the top anti-viral medicine in the world for years, winning the Nobel Prize in 2015, it was strange watching CBC and other media tell me it was a horsedewormer and bad for me. That really helped ‘wake me up’ to the fact that our government may not have my best interest at hand.

By banning Ivermectin in Canada and the U.S., they were allowed to declare a health emergency and approve the ‘vaccines’ without any successful trials. They called them ‘safe and effective’ with no data to back that up, yet nearly every citizen believed them.

And now they are billionaires while many of us are sick or having strokes. Many of us know that we have been fooled into making a big mistake but we are too proud to admit it. Instead we hate those who have chosen better and decided to wait on the jabs.

It was That Year

(From page 4) In 1990, a new home was worth $123,000 and the average annual income was $29,000. East and West Germany reunited, the first web page was written, Mr. Bean debuted and the first McDonalds in Russia opened.

Chocolate

I love chocolate but it is very bad for kidney patients. It is high in phosphorous, which is a toxin that gets into my skin and causes itchiness. Note that it was Easter recently and a lot of chocolate flies around then. Therefore I am brutally itchy for a few days now.

In God’s Hands

Do you believe in God? I know I do. I remember going into heart surgery quite scared. With my other health conditions, open heart surgery was quite risky. I was telling a fellow patient my fears and he pulled put his Bible and read to me about the glory of dying and being with God. He was not afraid. He said to just leave it in God’s hands.

God must have strong hands as he continues to get me through things and lets me heal up afterwards. June will be one year since the heart thing and the leg and hip will be healed also. I look forward to that time so I can figure out why I am still here and what my mission is.

Where We Were

The page 6 photo shows the hounds hanging out at the Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Hopkins’ Harvest on Good Friday. They were not much help but our friends did fairly well.

Worldwide Protests

I just watched videos of some huge protests in France, Berlin, Brussels, Sri Lanka and more. Energy and food prices are driving Europe into recession. Many citizens will freeze to death this upcoming winter. Our groceries and gas are skyrocketing in prices as well. More and more people are becoming dependent on the government
