1’21’’, 35 mm, Renkli-Colour, Hollanda- Holland, 1990 Yeni Famous Paintings (Ünlü Tablolar) yaklaşımı sanatta zaman ve mekân kavramları içinde genişleyip resim, sinema ve öykü anlatımı estetiklerini bir araya getirir. Resimler farklı bir anlatı yapısı taşır ve izleyicinin aşina olmayabileceği çok farklı bir hayattan alınır. Boş bir odada bir sandalye ve bir sehpa ortaya çıkar. Resimler ve çizimler birer birer sehpanın üzerini, duvarları kaplar. Paltolar ve palto askısı görünür. Sonra yerden bir yatak gelir. Yatak şiltesi belirir, yatak örtüsü ve yastıklar da. Odanın diğer özellikleri ortaya çıkar. En sonunda, Arles’te bir yatak odası karşımıza çıkar, aynen Vincent Van Gogh’un çizdiği gibi. A novel approach, Famous Paintings expands upon the concept of time and space in art and combines the aesthetics of painting, cinema, and storytelling. The paintings are given a narrative structure and taken on a very different life than the one the viewer may have known. In an empty room, a chair and an easel appear. One by one, paintings and drawings are composed on the easel, slip off, and slide up the walls. Coats and a coat rack appear. Then a bed comes up from the floor. A mattress materializes, a bedspread and pillows, too. Other features of the room appear. By the end, it's a bedroom at Arles, as painted by Vincent Van Gogh.

Maarten Koopman 17 Ekim 1951’de Amsterdam’da doğan Maarten Koopman ressam, çizer ve bestecidir (“The Taste of Water”, “Pervola” ve “Oh Boy’” da dahil olmak üzere Orlow Seunke filmlerinin, birçok belgeselin ve kendi kısa filmlerinin müziğini yapmıştır). Televizyon dizisi “Pim”in ortak yazar ve yönetmeni, “The Taste of Water” ve “Pervola”nın ortak yazarıdır. Tilburg, Breda ve Hilversum Sanat Okullarında animasyon dersleri vermektedir. Ödül almış pek çok animasyon filmi vardır. Maarten Koopman, born October 17, 1951 in Amsterdam, is a painter, illustrator and composer (he wrote the music for the films of Orlow Seunke, including ‘The Taste of Water”, “Pervola” and “Oh Boy!”, many documentary’s and his own animationfilms).He co-wrote and co-directed “Pim” (TV-series), co-wrote “The Taste of Water” and “Pervola”. He teaches animation at Schools of Art in Tilburg, Breda and Hilversum. He has a lot of animation films that won awards. 1-11 Mayıs 2009
