Ahoy, Turf Pirates and welcome back to the peaceful shores of the Galactic Headquarters of the Ancient and Honorable Tribe of Turf Pirates. Since we last gathered, I have been on the road gathering with the industries best and brightest at the GCSAA’s Conference and Show in Orlando and other ports near and far. Many points of note occurred, I taught multiple classes, attended a few (OK maybe more than a few) receptions, walked the 5K and I even had a chance meeting with the first ladies of print and prose namely Golf Central’s own ladies of court, Terrie Purdum, Shannon Streeter Coats and Nafanua Marlowe. We were on the road with GCSAA current President Kevin Breen and spent a week or so attending regional chapter events, teaching, playing golf and talking about the future. There is also an urban legend about “Shrimpapaloosa” that rose from this trip but that my friend is another story. You see I was looking for my next chapter of life and career and not sure what that might be and as is often the case,
