The Glades Central High School

boys and girls golf teams attended the Honda Classic Wednesday Pro-Am, a trip supported by the South Florida PGA and 10 All In Foundation.

Through its partnership, the South Florida PGA Foundation and the 10 ALL In Foundation, founded by SuperBowl MVP and Glades Central High School Alumni, Santonio Holmes have been committed to improving the lives of youth in Belle Glade through the game of golf.

Since 2021, the partnership has brought golf and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) to the youth of Belle Glade, introducing them to the game while teaching lessons that can last a lifetime.

For the second consecutive year, Glades Central High School Golf teams, including coaches, were invited to experience

The Honda Classic Wednesday Pro-Am. The group started the day with 2022 Honda Classic Champion, Sepp Straka before heading to the famous “Bear Trap” to see how the professionals handle one of the hardest stretches of golf on tour. The Bear Trap festivities included lunch, corn hole and life lessons with a PGA HOPE graduate and World War II Veteran.

Before the day ended, the group had the opportunity to sit down with The Honda Classic Executive Director, Andrew George to discuss the opportunities that golf both in life and in a career.
