he 37th Annual Riverhead Country Fair will be held on Sunday, October 7. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, agriculture, homemaking and needlecraft competitions, carnival rides, folk music and arts, pedal tractor pulls for spectators, farm animals and pony rides. With over 450 vendors, there will be lots of shopping and much more. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Located at the Peconic River Parking Field. (Rain date, October 8). owntown Riverhead has been having a bit a Broadway revival show of its own and the anticipation of the newly refurbished, historic, Suffolk Theater will open its doors once again after a long “intermission”. With Executive Director Bob Spiotto at the helm, the theatre will be offering amazing entertainment including; musicals, dance, film screenings, special events and more. The Suffolk Theater’s mission is to continue offering unique, cultural and educational entertainment, while at the same time pay homage to this historic theater by preserving the past. Downtown will be lit up once again by The Suffolk Theater’s brilliant historic marquee from the 20th Century. In early 2013, audiences and theater-goers will once again have the opportunity to sit in one of the theater’s 800 seats and be entertained by the future performances to come.
