igital artist Priyeshna Nair from Pune wants mankind to move beyond hatred, anger and resentment. Metallurgist Max Babi believes in the magic of will power and self-belief, while spiritual singer Amol Shende hopes make the world a stress-free, violence-free place with his music. listen to their heart. They experiences that have contributed to their confidence, lent a maturity in their vision by going beyond monetary success, seeking a deeper meaning to their existence and looking at the bigger picture called life. For instance, Sylvain Corentin, an artist in France, wishes for mankind to find back its humility while Vita Soyka, a doll-maker from Ukraine, hopes to see people actually enjoying the process of learning and the creativity itself. Sabine Meyer, a German photographer, has learned to overcome her fears through her greatest passion, while Maria Isabel Zipagan, a community developer from Philippines, believes in the power of one's strength of character and the sanctity of human dignity.

How was this concept born?

“In November 2011, I was discussing with a dear friend, Michael Pavlides, the future of mankind. We both felt that we are living in an era that will usher in cosmogonic changes for us humans in the near future. We are confident that mankind would defeat the ugliness, misery and cruelty that have dominated our planet for centuries,” says Athens-based Karali. For her, the BPP is a way of giving back to society. "God has been very kind to me and I thought of reciprocating this gesture. I felt the need to offer something to the struggle of humanity I see around me. Thus was born the need to discover as many remarkable people as I could and to present them in some way to the public, so that they could be role models for anyone who wanted to watch their work and their luminous personalities, irrespective of their

What is BPP all about? The website features interviews of people from different backgrounds and cultures hailing from Italy, France, Greece, India, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Serbia, Colombia, the UK and the USA, among several other countries, who candidly talk about their inspiration and the passionate strength to

nationality, age, religion or socio-economic status," says Karali.

How were these people sought? Karali used the internet to search people whose work would impress her. “I believe that a person's nature and personality are reflected in whatever they do or create. When I found something that made me smile and brightened my day I would seek its creator. I sent countless emails to people who I didn’t know, introduced myself and the BPP concept, and requested them to share their work and - most importantly - their deepest thoughts with the people who want to listen to them,” she reveals. >> Continued on page 5 Helena Oplakanska
