REMEMBERING BOB MATSCHULAT

Bob’s memorial service was held on a beautiful spring day on March 21 at Red Rocks Ampitheater. Ann Baker, Gary Petri, Liz O’Sullivan, and Dave Bishton were present, and perhaps others from the chapter. Mike Young and Dean Leschak carried on Bob’s legacy at the CDT certification preparation class which also concluded on this day.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Bryan Smith, CSI

As the first quarter of 2015 is comes to a close and Spring is upon us, I sincerely thank you for your loyal support of the Denver Chapter! Below are some worthy updates you should know about… Bob was a mainstay of the chapter’s activities after he joined CSI in 1983, and served as our chapter president in FY 1996. He was an avid hiker, mountaineer, and railroad enthusiast, and we heard many stories of his adventures in the Colorado front range. Also as an architecture student at CU in the late 1960’s – did you know he was part of the student protests over the war in Vietnam there? At every meeting he attended Bob warmly and personally greeted members. We will miss him deeply. On behalf of our members, the chapter will contribute to his memorial at Rocky Mountain PBS.
