NEXT MONTH: CONSTRUCT DENVER! Featuring the WELL Building Standard速 .

The CSI Denver Chapter's annual trade show and education fair in March is free for attendees. AIA members can earn one learning unit. Come learn about the WELL Building Standard速 (WELL), a building standard that focuses on human health and wellness, and sets performance requirements in 7 categories relevant to human health (air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind). It aims to help create buildings that improve the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep, and performance of occupants. WELL takes a holistic approach to health in the built environment addressing behavior, operations, and design. WELL is third-party certified by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), which administers the LEED certification and credentialing programs. Faye Tsakas, of Delos Living LLC in New York City, will present the WELL Building Standard's system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact the health and well-being of the people who live, work, and learn in WELL-certified buildings.

FEBRUARY CHAPTER MEETING Nina Giglio, FCSI, CCS, LEED AP BD+C, presented "Manufacturer Guide Specifications" at our February 9th Chapter meeting. This was our first Chapter Meeting with a presentation via Skype. Chapter President Morayma Salas advanced the slides (see photo, right), and Nina's voice came in loud and clear over the Lakewood Country Club's sound system. Nina had good info about guide specs for both design professionals and manufacturers' representatives.
