Obituary EAST, Robert James “Bob”

May 17, 1933 - Jan 14, 2024

With heavy hearts, we are sad to share that Bob passed away peacefully after a short stay at Ridge Meadows hospital.

Bob was a kind and gentle man who could creatively fix almost anything. He was very social and enjoyed hosting recurring garage sales that were more about visiting than making a sale. As a Lifetime Royal Canadian Legion member at branch #107, he took pride in the positions he held and valued the friendships he made along the way. Bob will be remembered for taking long walks with his sidekick Roxy, his trusted beagle, stopping to chat with anyone who crossed their path. He is now free to walk the dogs with his late wife Gay, who was the love of his life.

Bob leaves behind a legacy through his four children, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his dear sister and brother-in-law and his many friends in the Chase community. His love and warmth will be forever held in our hearts. Bob will be truly missed.

Memories and refreshments will be shared at the Chase Legion on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1 pm.
