Transitioning from military to civilian life presents new opportunities as well as challenges for Veterans. Many veterans look forward to life after the military, and at the same time, have a lot of unanswered questions. “What am I going to do with this new phase of life? Will I be able to find a job? How can I start my own business?” Over the next 4 - 5 years more than a million troops are returning home with these questions in mind. Franchise businesses are looking to recruit veterans into small business ownership because veterans make great franchisees. Unfortunately, many veterans don’t know about the variety of industries, investment levels or understand how their skill sets are transferable to franchise business ownership.
