GRATIS CIRCUSFESTIVAL
VOORWOORD Dit fotoboek wil een visueel beeld geven van Cirque Plus. Niet alleen voor de liefhebbers van circus die het festival niet kennen of het hebben gemist maar ook voor artiesten, organisaties en vrijwilligers die er in de toekomst een rol willen in spelen. Beelden zeggen niet alles maar toch veel. Uit de foto’s kun je opmaken dat slecht weer de pret niet bederft, dat kinderen en volwassenen van elke leeftijd en sociale achtergrond het festival bezoeken en ervan genieten en dat artiesten elk jaar onuitputtelijk zijn in het creëren en presenteren van circusvoorstellingen. We laten je ook even piepen achter de schermen van het festival maar daar zie je niet het volledige plaatje van dit festival. Het vergt immers maanden van voorbereiding, stevige steun van diverse overheden en de ijver van veel medewerkers om van Cirque Plus keer op keer een feest te maken. We dragen dit fotoboekje daarom graag op aan al diegene die Cirque Plus mogelijk maken. Uit dankbaarheid voor de voorbije edities en met veel enthousiasme voor de komende.
AVANT-PROPOS Ce livre de photos met Cirque Plus en images. Non seulement pour les amateurs de cirque qui ne connaissent pas le festival ou qui l’ont manqué, mais aussi pour les artistes, les organisations et les volontaires qui y veulent jouer un rôle dans le futur. Des photos ne disent pas tout mais elles donnent quand-même une bonne image. Les photos montrent que du mauvais temps ne gâche pas le plaisir, que c’est un festival tous public sans distinction d’âge et de milieu socioculturel et que chaque année, les artistes créent et présentent des spectacles de cirque extraordinaires. On vous donne aussi un coup d’œil dans les coulisses mais cela n’illustre pas tout le festival. C’est que ce festival demande une préparation de plusieurs mois, un grand soutien des différents gouvernements et la passion de beaucoup des coopérateurs. C’est pourquoi nous voulons dédicacer ce livre de photos à ceux qui permettent que Cirque Plus est un festival mémorable. En reconnaissance des éditions passées et avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme pour celles qui viennent.
FOREWORD This book of photographs gives us a visual image of Cirque Plus. It is not only meant for circus enthusiasts who don’t know the festival or who missed it, but also for the artists, the organizations and the volunteers who want to play a role in future editions. Pictures don’t say everything but they give you a good idea. The photographs show that bad weather does not spoil the fun, that children and adults of all ages, regardless of their social background, visit the festival and that every year, artists create and present extraordinary circus acts. We also give you a quick look behind the scenes but it doesn’t show the entire picture of the festival. After all this festival needs months of preparation, a lot of financial support of several governments and the passion of many co-workers to make sure that, every year, Cirque Plus is a celebration. That is why we dedicate this book of photographs to all who make Cirque Plus possible. In gratitude for past editions and with a lot of enthusiasm for the ones that will follow.
