Your Donation at Work A Murray Club member works on an art project. Your donation ensures she has the supplies to flex her creative muscles puting her on track for a Great Future.

Letter from our

Leadership We are always humbled by the generous support we receive from our community partners, donors, and volunteers. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your help. Thanks to you, we can provide service for the thousands of youth in our community. You help provide a safe place full of caring, trained staff who ensure every kid has a voice.

Every one of the 7,000 kids we serve deserves a place to achieve their dreams and with your support we are able to increase our reach to the young people who need us most. Together we can achieve more—come visit and share in the Club experience! We invite you to review some of these wonderful results, made possible by your partnership with our organization.

Warm regards,

LeAnn Saldivar President & CEO 1

You Help Kids Become the Future Thanks to you, Jeniya has a bright future. You have changed Jeniya’s life. When he was struggling with issues of self-worth and trust in adults, your donations and support provided Jeniya with the help he needed to excel academically, develop healthy habits, and give back to his community. Your support gives kids like Jeniya a place to be safe, a place to be heard, a place to become. Jeniya has attended the Capitol West Boys & Girls Club since he was five years old. He has had a tumultuous life, frequently moving between family members in unstable living situations until finding his current adoptive parents. Throughout all of this, the Boys & Girls Club was a place where positive adult role models helped him feel safe and empowered. It’s somewhere he can have fun, fit in, and explore his passions with Club members and staff who understand and encourage him. He is now the 2018 Utah State Youth of the Year. Currently a junior at Salt Lake Science Education Center, Jeniya plans to study science at the University of Utah with the generous scholarships he received from Boys & Girls Clubs supporters as Youth of the Year. He is a constant source of positive energy at his Club, and spends a lot of time helping other kids like him figure out how to succeed. We are proud of Jeniya, and grateful to everyone who gave him the opportunity to grow into the inspiring young man he is today. 2
