Bone regeneration in dentistry has become a topic of great interest, especially in cases where it determines a constraint to the implant rehabilitation. An endless research, new materials, the rising expectations of the patient are the main forces that drive us to seek solutions that would enable to formulate more predictable and less invasive rehabilitation plans.
The project of BoxTechnique Continuing Education on Cadaver raises in response to the growing demand for surgical training, promoted by the need and the will to approach new bone regenerative techniques, as well as new materials that most likely will assume an increasingly important role in the world of future Dentistry and Implantology. During these days of course, the attendees will have the opportunity to learn, try out the simplicity and easiness of execution of BoxTechnique, to isolate and face the most important nerve vascular districts that in daily life often limit our potential rehabilitation. Everyone will have the opportunity to learn and personally test on cadaver human heads the Sonic Weld (KLS Martin) as well as the Piezosurgery. To grant our participants a better learning, the Course was limited to 10 + 4 attendees (only for foreign attendees)

Thursday 24th May h. 9.00 a.m. – h. 5.00 p.m.: THEORY - Anatomy of the areas of intra-oral bone harvesting, of the maxillary sinus and tuberosity areas. - Socket preservation techniques. - Maxillary sinus lift. - BoxTechnique (Aesthetically Guided Bone Regeneration) Friday 25th May h. 9.00 a.m. – h. 12.00 a.m.: PRACTICE Dissection of the palate and of the tuberosity areas: - Isolation of the main vascular-nerve districts. BoxTechnique in upper jaw: - Tutorials (implants insertion and alveolar ridge augmentation). - Hint at Maxillary sinus lift. - Handling of soft tissues; periosteal releasing techniques. Dr. Francisco MARCHESANI (Chile): Tutor BoxTechnique Dr. Francisco Marchesani completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Concepci贸n, Chile in 1986, where he received his degree in Dentistry. In 1987 he joined as Faculty Instructor at the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Concepci贸n. In 1990 he began his studies in the field of Maxillo-Facial Surgery at The Ohio State University, Maxillo-Facial Department with Prof. Dr. Larry Peterson. In 1993 he studied at the University Albert Ludwig University, Freiburg, Germany. Taking as a Tutor in the field of Implantology and Maxillo-Facial Reconstructive Surgery Prof. Dr. Gisbert Krekeler. In 1993 he made contact with the Dexeus Center in Barcelona, Spain and studied Implantology supervised by Prof. Dr. Joan Pi Urgell direct disciple of Prof. Branemark. Back at the University of Concepci贸n he took in charge the Implantology Unit, organizing the Undergraduate Implantology Program for the very first time in Chile in 2005. A few years later Dr Marchesani organized the Implantology Social Program of the Municipality of Concepcion (CRIM) where are treated patients with severs toothless and bone atrophies. In 2005 made contact with the University of Ghent, Belgium and Nijmegen, the Netherlands, developing an exchange program at undergraduate, graduate and academic level. Today is coordinator of both student mobility programs. At this time, Dr. Marchesani is an Associate Professor at the University of Concepci贸n and teaches in the Department of Pathology and Diagnosis. He is in charge of the surgical area of the Rehabilitation Program, Periodontics and Implantology for Maxillofacial Surgery. From 2001 to 2009 he was Speaker for Nobel Biocare. Since 2010 is giving lectures supported by BioHorizons and Zimmer. Dr. Marchesani teaches modular courses: theoretical and practical; national and international conferences, in the Implantology area. He is an active member of the Chilean Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery Society, member of the American Academy of Osseointegration and the European Association of Osseointegration. In October 2011 attended an International Advanced Surgery Course at Face Surgery, Parma, Italy, performed by Dr. Andrea Menoni, inventor of the BoxTechnique, allowing the introduction of this innovative technique in Latin America.

Dr. Alberto REBAUDI (Italy): Maxillary Sinus Lift Dr. Alberto Rebaudi is a MD, DDS. Contract Professor at the University of Genoa, Italy. Professor in post graduate courses in Implantology, Guided Surgery and Bone Regeneration at the Universities of Chieti, Genoa, Naples and Pisa, italy. Active in implant and biomaterials research. Author of 70 publications in Italy and 30 internationally. Vice President of Bio.C.R.A. (Biomaterials Clinical-Histological Research Association). Active Member and Delegate for Italy of the SENAME-ICOI (Mediterranean Association of Implantology). Founder Member of the International Piezosurgery Academy. Dr. Sergio Spinato graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis in 1990 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He has private dental practices in Sassuolo (MO), Italy and specializes in Periodontology and Implantology. From 2002 to 2003 he was Visiting Professor of Periodontology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He is author of approximately 40 scientific articles in important italian and international journals (Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pat, J Clinical Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implants Research, Implant Dentistry, Quintessenza Int). He is a speaker at Congresses and post graduate Courses of Implantology, Oral Surgery anf Periodontology in Italy and Europe (SICOI, SIO).
