The Sleepy Cherub

Up in the heavens, nestled so high Our friend the cherub let out a sigh He wanted to journey down to the ground And explore the treasures all hidden around.

5

He reached for an apple, sweet round and gold A fantastic adventure began to unfold Worlds of light and worlds of sound Each garland he saw marked new joys to be found.

6

His bravery brought him treasures untold: Bees and dragons and apples of gold. But the greatest treasure he found was his friends To hold in his heart at the journey’s end.
