USA South Athletic Conference The USA South Athletic Conference is home to 13 institutions, five in North Carolina, three in Virginia, two in Georgia, two in Tennessee and one in Alabama. Beginning with the 2013-14 year, Covenant and Huntingdon Colleges join Averett University, Ferrum College, Greensboro College, LaGrange College, Piedmont College, Mary Baldwin College, Maryville College, Meredith College, Methodist University, North Carolina Wesleyan College and William Peace University as full members. Agnes Scott College became a competing member of the conference in the fall of 2009 as a women’s lacrosse-only member, and Christopher Newport remains in the conference one final year as an affiliate member for football.
