Proximity The Amsterdam-IJmuiden port region is the ideal location for offshore wind logistics: construction, operation and maintenance. Conveniently located at close range of consented and projected offshore wind projects on the North Sea.
Space The region offers assembly and storage sites directly on the coast and along the North Sea Canal. From the pilot station to the Amsterdam terminals, takes 2.5 to 3 hours, including the lock passage. The inland area has no tidal restrictions.

Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V. Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V. / Port of IJmuiden is privately owned. It has an absence of locks and a unique location near open sea, 20 minutes by road from Amsterdam Airport. Experienced in assembly, installation and maintenance of three wind farms. Well equipped for offshore supply and offshore projects. MHI Vestas Offshore recently began using a new extension to the industrial building and offices for its third maintenance team. Eneco has also moved into new offices in IJmuiden for the maintenance of the Prinses Amaliapark wind farm and to oversee the construction of the new Luchterduinen wind farm. Port Authority Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V. has constructed three new boat landings for MHI Vestas Offshore and Eneco. These new boat landings make it easy and safe to step from the quayside on to the windcats.

Venus & De Waard construction and maintenance Venus & De Waard has been located in the Port of IJmuiden since 1945. We are specialized in maintenance and repair, technical support and construction primarily for the fishing industry, but also offer these services for offshore, dredgers, tugs, reefers and the industrial sector. The work consists of milling, turning, welding, molding, cutting, setting, construction, piping, assembly and disassembly. We also supply and assemble hydraulic hoses. Venus & De Waard is known for its flexibility in repair and maintenance. If necessary, we’ll work 24 hours a day, anywhere in the Netherlands.
