Having arrived safely at Episode 4, I would just like to spend some time glorifying the jumpsuit. I have always been a fan of the one piece outfit. I grew up wearing the jumpsuit skort (similar to mullet I now realize party in the front business in the back! Love it!) I had the wide leg jumpsuit and I am sure a few others. I actually found my “first grown-up” jumpsuit in Old Navy’s Spring 08 Collection. It was a part of the whole Safari line that they put out which I was quite pleased with and found several pieces that I am still wearing today. I love this jumpsuit because there is a classic element to it. It always works best with simple accessories, and to me it doesn’t scream standardized commercial piece. That is always a big piece of the pie, I think it is totally fine to shop in stores that are producing for the masses. You just have to train your eye to look for those item that perhaps the crowd has passed up. It like a shopping safari … you enter the jungle take a chance and end up with none other than, the ‘Fect ‘Fit!

Round Brown Signature This will most likely not be the first of the last time you will hear me talk about the signature. I think it is oh so important to fine a accessory or that is your signature. Just like you have a signature scent have a signature accessory. “Old Reliable” (the Gap Oversized Straw Bag) is one of mine. I bring it out every summer and I rock it till it can be rocked no more. It goes with so many pieces I have and always starts a conversation. I also like to pick a signature nail color and change it monthly, or having a signature makeup technique currently I am in love with colored mascara. Right now I am in love with Revlon Barely Nude. It’s like branding yourself. It starts conversations which can always lead to a new discover or a new fan of you! There is nothing wrong with celebrating who you are and finding people who do the same! What’s your signature?

Inspiration This is not necessarily how this exact outfit was inspired but about inspiration in specific. I very much like to cross all styles when it comes to fashion. It works for some to stick to one style and finding inspiration within those limits, but boundaries just aren’t for me. If you see a style you like or could pull off try it, if it works great if it doesn’t try another. However, don’t be surprised if you find more that one style that suits your needs. Do not be afraid to mix those styles or to go back and forth between numerous ones. Who says your style can’t be Preppy Punk? You make the rules and then break them if you so choose. For me it has created a more well round (ed) brown and lovely, and I’ve no doubt it will do the same for you!
