The European Fashion world is not one to be taken lightly. There is a sense of style and elegance that can be found across the sea that is simply it’s own. Both the men and the women view fashion with a certain avant garde and boldness. This is not to say that you don’t see that same level of boldness here in the states, but at times accessibility can be limited. It could also perhaps be a common case of the grass being greener on the other side. Yet and still this next gentleman has no boundaries with a tastes bordering somewhere around impeccable, he is a force with which to be reckoned. This is my journey into the world of Men’s Big & Tall Fashion. You’ll find that their wants, needs, and desires aren’t so different from your own! They deserve to be catered too just as much as we do. So with much ado I give you the subject of Episode 4, Joseph!

Clothing Size: shirt = medium/jean= 33/36-W33/L36 suit size 52 (with lots of tweaking) (for my upper body I tend to oscillate between m to xl the same can be said for lower body as well )

1. Where are you favorite spots to shop? I like to shop in London (Covent Garden and Savile Row) as they have a wide variety of clothes I like. Mind you, on Savile Row I visit my favorite Evisu store, most bespoke tailors on that street are out of my price range (at present). But I also like to go to Heilige Weg in Amsterdam or Woodbury Commons right outside of NYC. The latter feels like an amusement park to me. 2. What is a must have for every Big & Tall male? A must have for every Big and Tall male is a custom made suit. Suits were made for us. Ideally I'd go for a bespoke suit, but a made-to-measure suit is nearly as good. 3. What is your response to the impossibility of being Big, Tall, and Fashionable ? Condescension. 4. If there was one thing you could say from the Big & Tall Community to the Plus Size Women’s Community what would it be? We have it much easier, but you will always look more beautiful? 5. Where do you find Inspiration? In the weather. I dress accordingly. 6. Thinking of your wardrobe, what is your favorite article of clothing? Black see-through jumper(This is a sweater by American English Terms) by YSL. For very special occasions. 7. What piece of clothing would you like to wear, but can never find in your size? A turtleneck. 8. What is your biggest complaint about Big and Tall clothing? As I'm more tall than big, and do not have an American sensibility to fitted pieces, lots of BnT clothing seem like potato bags.

9. What store would you like to shop at if they offered free clothing in your size? AllSaints 10. Do you like the term,"Big and Tall"? If not, can you think of anything better? I'm indifferent to it. I don't think it has received the same stigma as Plus Size. Perhaps instead of Big and Tall, Goliath? Advice What Advice would you give to Big & Tall Men who are looking to express themselves through fashion but are a bit discouraged ? Clothes make the man. If you can't find it in a store, have it made, adjusted, tweaked to suit your needs. When you invest in your clothing you invest in your appearance. And this investment does not have to cost and arm and a leg. Buy clothes with potential and have your local tailor bring out the potential you want.
