SINCE 1935. A TRUE STORY, AN ORIGINAL BRAND. LA POLIZIA AMERICANA, AUTENTICA ISPIRAZIONE BLAUER. Un marchio davvero storico in America, l’autentica firma dei capi tecnici destinati a tutti i corpi di polizia e ad alcuni settori scelti dell’esercito, come gli ufficiali della US Navy o gli agenti speciali della Casa Bianca. Da oltre sessant’anni Blauer vanta una posizione di rilievo nel mercato USA, attraverso la costante attenzione alla funzionalità, all’innovazione stilistica e tecnologica delle sue creazioni. Nel 2001, grazie all’intuizione di Enzo Fusco, presidente e art director della FGF Industry, è nata la primissima collezione Blauer destinata al mondo fashion prodotta e distribuita in tutto il mondo. “Uncompromising performance” ovvero “Prestazioni senza compromessi”: è così che si riassume oggi la filosofia di Blauer, quella di creare veri e propri strumenti di lavoro, capi tecnici affidabili che diventano la prima linea di difesa contro il freddo, il caldo, l’acqua. A truly historic brand in America, the authentic mark of the technical clothing destined for all the police forces and some selected sectors of the army, such as the officers of the US Navy or the special agents of the White House. For over sixty years Blauer has boasted an important position in the American market, due to its constant attention to the functionality, stylistic and technologic innovation of its creations. In 2001, thanks to the intuition of Enzo Fusco, president and art director of FGF Industry, the very first Blauer collection to be dedicated to the fashion world was created, produced and distributed all over the world. ‘Uncompromising performance’ perfectly summarises Blauer’s philosophy: that of creating actual tools of the trade, reliable technical clothing that becomes the first line of defence against cold, heat and water - in any circumstance and situation, without ever losing sight of comfort, lightness and wearability.
DESERTO DI SALE. Una pianura immensa, oltre 400 chilometri quadrati coperti da uno strato di sale perfettamente piatto e molto riflettente. La Bonneville Salt Flats, nel nord-ovest dello stato americano dell’Utah, è quel che rimane del preistorico lago di Bonneville, formatosi dopo lo scioglimento dei ghiacci dell’ultima glaciazione ed evaporato a seguito dell’aumento delle temperature. Qui, su questa distesa di sale dura come la roccia, si è svolto lo shooting della collezione A/W 2012/2013 di Blauer.

A vast plain, over 400 km2 covered by a perfectly flat and extremely reflective layer of salt. The Bonneville Salt Flats in the north-west of the American state of Utah are all that remains of the prehistoric Bonneville lake, which was formed after the ice of the last glacial period melted and then evaporated because of the increase in temperature. Here, on this rock hard stretch of salt, we shot the Blauer F/W 2012/2013 collection.

ON THE MOON. Davanti agli occhi un fantastico scenario lunare, intriso di magia. In alcuni momenti della giornata, i raggi solari riscaldano l’aria che sovrasta la superficie salata, portando a una variazione della sua densità per alcuni metri d’altezza. Questo, permette di assistere a un raro effetto ottico di rifrazione, una vera e propria forma di miraggio che fa apparire le montagne circostanti come “fluttuanti” sopra alla grande distesa salina. A fantastic lunar scene before us, steeped in magic. At some points during the day, the sunlight warms the air over the salt surface, causing its density to vary in height by a few metres. This causes a rare optical effect, refraction, a genuine form of mirage that makes the surrounding mountains seem to ‘float’ above the vast salty plain.
