ADELAIDE FRINGE AT
THE PARKS THEATRE
ABOUT FRINGE In 2020 the Adelaide Fringe celebrates six decades of festival fun! In 1960 a small group of independent artists created a festival where anyone with a creative vision could take part! Fast forward sixty years, and the Fringe has grown to become the Southern Hemisphere’s largest open access festival, contributing to the cultural, artistic and social fabric of South Australia. Ask anyone who’s attended Fringe and they’ll tell you: it’s a pretty magical phenomenon to experience. Every year the Fringe Festival transforms the city; it takes over the theatres, cafes, hostels, galleries, food courts, laneways, shipping containers, street corners, bathrooms and gardens of this city and turns them Fringe.
