MEMBERSHIP OPERATING GUIDELINES Membership Pause Policy We recognize that certain life events and special circumstances may require members to pause their membership. At the Y, we support individuals and families making the decision that is best for them. That’s why we offer a 3-month, $0 fee membership pause option.
Key Points The following are key points relating to the Membership Pause policy. • Members may initiate a pause on their membership once per calendar year • The duration of a membership pause can range from 1-3 months maximum • No administrative fees will be charged during the membership pause • Membership dues will automatically resume at the end of the membership pause period • Members will not have access to Y facilities or discounted programs while on pause • Extensions or additional pauses in one calendar year are not permitted. The membership of those unready to return at the end of their membership pause period will expire, and they will be invited to re-join the Y when they are ready. A join fee may be required • Exceptions may be made based on special circumstances and with Director approval • Members can navigate to ymca-snoco.org/pause or call 425 374 5779 to initate a pause
