*No camp 7/5 ^ Mukilteo camps run session 0-9. All other branches run session 1-10. Camp start/end dates vary by school district, camp, and branch. Questions about any of the camps listed in this brochure, please contact 425 374 5779.

Special Needs

Y staff members are trained to help children with mild to moderate diverse–abilities. However, our facilities are not adequately staffed to work with children who need significant assistance with personal care, constant one–to–one support, or have great difficulty managing their behavior in a group setting. If your child requires specialized accommodations, please contact your local YMCA family branch.

Summer camp at the YMCA of Snohomish County is so much more than a fun summer for all! At YMCA camp kids grow, build skills and gain self-confidence in a valuesbased environment. Our camp has much to offer kids from preschool to 9th grade. As always, the focus of our camps is to make a positive impact on your child: Relationships, Achievement, and Belonging are constant themes at camp.

RELATIONSHIPS We inspire kids to work and play together, creating friendships that can last a lifetime.

ACHIEVEMENT We provide kids with opportunities to try new experiences. We show them all they can do when they believe in themselves.

BELONGING We make kids feel welcome, feel comfortable being themselves, and know they are part of something great.

Pricing Guide Pricing listed is per weekly session.

FM = Facility Member pricing Current YMCA Family Facility member or a Youth Membership (ages 0-18).

CM = Community Member pricing For participation in all Y programming only.

Members receive discounted rates on camp sessions!

CAMP SAFETY Summer day camps will be modified from our typical camps, with a limited number of campers per day and modified activities. The safety of our families is our top priority and we will take precautionary measures to minimize any risk of COVID-19 exposure. If your child feels sick or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please do not bring them to camp. Precautionary measures to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 include:

For Camp Staff • • •

All Camp Staff will be trained on specific COVID-19 cleaning and safety protocol. Camp Staff will have a wellness check and sign a form that confirms their health status every day before the start of their shift. Camp Staff will wear face coverings at all times.

For Campers • • • • • • • • •

Increased frequency and intensity of facility/equipment cleanings following Department of Health guidelines for proper sanitation. Mandatory handwashing for campers throughout the day. All campers will receive a wellness check at drop-off. Reduced group sizes. Curbside or door-side check-in at all camp locations. Modified programming to ensure social distancing by eliminating field trips and limiting shared equipment. Children age five years or older must wear cloth face coverings at day camp when indoors. Face shields: In rare circumstances when a cloth face covering cannot be worn, children and staff may use a clear face covering or a face shield with a drape as an alternative to a cloth face covering. Face shields should extend below the chin, to the ears, and have no gap at the forehead. Children may remove cloth face coverings to eat and drink and when they can be physically distanced outside. If children need a “mask break,” they will be taken outside or to a large, well-ventilated room where there is sufficient space to ensure more than six feet of physical distance between people. Listed below are cloth face covering exemptions for children. If your child qualifies for one of these exemptions, please ensure it is documented on your child’s Youth Information Sheet. • Those with a disability that prevents them from comfortably wearing or removing a cloth face covering. • Those with certain respiratory conditions or trouble breathing. • Those who are deaf or hard of hearing and use facial and mouth movements as part of communication. • Those advised by a medical, legal, or behavioral health professional that wearing a cloth face covering may pose a risk to that person.

YMCA CAMP HISTORY Camping became a cornerstone of YMCA programming in 1885 when the YMCA started Camp Dudley, America’s first known summer camp program, at Orange Lake, New York. The longest continually operating camp, its aim was to provide children with a positive developmental experience through making new friends, building confidence and growing in selfreliance. Over a century later, YMCA of Snohomish County strives to provide the same experience for kids today.
