Winter 2015

MERRY CHRISTMAS

and welcome to the first edition of Tongwynlais News Wales & West Housing are committed to working with our residents and listening to your views. In a recent consultation the overall majority of residents wanted to be kept up-to-date via a newsletter.

Have we listened? WWH staff carried out a consultation during October 2015 to get your views of the scheme you live on. Of the 122 properties, 50 residents responded and we would like to thank those who shared their views.

We asked: Do you feel safe in your home / scheme, and is your scheme attractive and well kept?

90%

45 out of 50 (90%) said you feel safe in your homes

94%

46 out of 49 (94%) said you feel safe in your scheme

57%

25 residents said that the scheme is well kept

25%

11 residents said that it is not well kept.

The majority of residents commented that the reason why they feel the scheme is unattractive is due to rubbish on the scheme and, in particular, the condition of the communal bin stores located in Beech Court, Birch Court, Pine Court and at the top of Catherine Drive. 16 residents commented that the bin stores are too small and that the scheme would benefit from more frequent collections by Cardiff Council. Three residents also commented that the communal bin stores are used as a dumping ground and that there are issues with fly tipping on the scheme.

If you see anyone fly tipping on the scheme please contact Cardiff Council Enforcement Team on: 02920 872 087. www.wwha.co.uk | 0800 052 2526 | Twitter: @wwha
