ABOUT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE Recognized worldwide for academic excellence, Washington University in St. Louis has offered continuing education programs and courses through University College since 1908. Today, University College offers part-time, evening, online, and summer school classes to students who want to earn undergraduate or graduate degrees or certificates in specialized areas of study, or pursue personal enrichment. Our programs provide adult students the opportunity to experience the excitement of attending and earning a degree or certificate from a world-class research institution.

Our Students Our students are St. Louis. From the 25-year-old public relations professional living in Kirkwood in pursuit of a graduate degree to the 45-year-old mother from Ferguson finishing her college degree, to the executive in Fenton expanding his knowledge about international relations, to the grandmother in O'Fallon who always wanted to learn French, we provide continuing education options for ambitious and curious minds of all ages.

Our Faculty Our instructors include many WashU faculty as well as professionals from the greater St. Louis community. These include successful business, science and health professionals, working journalists, writers and performing artists, and WashU graduate students and recent PhDs.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Undergraduate Bachelor of Science or Associate in Arts • At least six units of transferable college-level course work; or • At least six units of course work taken at University College and a high school diploma or GED • 2.7 minimum GPA

Graduate Admission to graduate programs are open on a selective basis to qualified persons w ith a baccalaureate degree. Admission requirements differ by degree program.

Certificates or Advanced Certificates • There are no formal requirements for admission to certificates. Students should speak with an academic advisor regarding their preparation for specific certificates or courses. • Admission to an advanced certificate program normally requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and is on a selective basis to qualified persons.
