It’s probably the coolest job for a student. Jacob Ganzak, 2019 Engineer, Wlliams International

Internships often serve as launch pads for careers. Western aerospace engineering student Jacob Ganzak took that literally when he secured multiple internships at NASA and made a giant leap toward his dream of becoming an astronaut.

4

From testing shields on oxygen tanks headed for space to working on launch towers for space vehicles, Ganzak contributed to projects that granted him access few college students ever receive while interning on-site at NASA’s White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

During their undergraduate senior year, students in an accelerated program may take up to 12 credit hours of graduate course work, which also count toward their undergraduate degree. Once they enter graduate school, they're able to more quickly complete requirements for their master’s or doctoral degree. Aerospace Engineering (M.S.)
