La Croix de Fer

Regardez sur une carte par où rejoindre le Col de la Croix de Fer à la limite Savoie-Isère. On se gare sur la partie Ouest côté Isère donc.

Entre le Col et le lac de barrage de Grand-Maison. Descendre à pied devant nous sur la photo, traverser la rivière (pont), marcher un peu pour trouver la neige, le spot est en haut de l’image (soleil) et l’accès en kite dans le vallon derrière la première crête que l’on voit devant nous. C’est un spot de vent de Nord. Si le vent est Sud, on kite les pentes sud plus proches du Col, près des pistes de la station Saint Sorlin d’Arve.

Park the car near the pass beside the road towards West. Walk down in front of us on the picture, cross the river (wood bridge), reach the snow and then go with your kite to the summit we can see at the top of the photo. This spot gets available with north wind blowing. If the wind is south, go to the pass and find the right places for that.
