Kyoto Sat. → Arashiyamm area → Kiyomizu temple → Kodaiji temple (sakura) At around 9am: Take JR train from Kyoto station in Saga Arashiyama line, Platform 31, 32 Take off at Saga Arashiyama station. After get off the station exit, take left stairs down and go straight on the street, and then take right at the corner. Walking straight until the end. There is the temple entrance.

Tenryuji temple At the end of the street, you will see the entrance of "Tenryuji temple" (world heritage), so walk straight until the main hall of the temple. * Must to see is "Hojo" with beautiful garden called "Sogenchi at first. The background scenery of Arashiyama mountain is wonderful. * and walk through the wooden corridor and visit "Tahoden (Hall of Many Treasures). The surrounded trees are all Sakura, now they are just dried trees in winter, though. Enjoy imagining the beautiful pink colors! :) * Get out of the hall and enter the garden next to the hall. * Enjoy walking around the pond and get out from the north gate of the garden.

* Tenryuji temple with beautiful pond garden. Enjoy main hall at first and then, take on shoes and go over to the garden. Walking in front of the pond, keep walking until the end ,


There is the north gate of the temple. * Get out from North gate of the Tenryuji garden. * Beautiful bamboo street starts from here Turn left after bamboo, go down on to the river side * Take Randen train (Keifuku Arashiyama line) to get back to central Kyoto city. * Bamboo artcrafts store. Nice souvenir for bamboo products. * Restaurant for casual japanese food. Enjoy Lunch at Arashiyama.

Take Randen train from Arashiyama St. (the terminal of the train) Get Off at Shijo_Omiya St. (the terminal of the train) * There are many train service, so if it's in full, you can take the next train!

After getting off at Shijo-Omiya; * You can take bus from Shijo-Omiya stop to Shijo Kawaramachi bus stop After getting out of the exit of Randen train, turn right and crossing the road, and right away crossing the road again for left. There is the Shijo-Omiya bus stop. Take bus to Shijo-Kawaramachi (NO. 11, 32, 46, 201, 203, 207) There is Teramachi street and Shin-Kyogoku street famous for shopping. You can get Kimono here.

At around 15:30 Central City to Kiyomizu temple Take bus at Shijo-kawaramachi until Kiyomizu-michi (NO. 207) after get off, walk a little toward north and cross the road toward east at the next pedestrian crossing. There is the narrow traditional alley leading to Yasaka's pagoda. Very beautiful. Follow the slope up, leading to sannen-zaka on the way to Kiyomizu temple. Recommend souvenir around on the slope: Japanese wooden doll (Kokeshi), Folding fan, Pottery, etc‌

At around 17:00 Kiyomizu temple to Yasaka shrine After follow the slope down, and turn right to take the sannen-zaka slope again at the "Shichimi-ya" store (spice store), keep walking and then, turn right again toward ninen-zaka slope. You will lead to the end, then, turn left toward Nene's path. At the end of nene's path, turn left, and then, right at the end of the road, you may find the big stone torii of Yasaka shrine.

At around 19:00 Yasaka shrine to Starbucks


Enjoy lantern and turn left, keep walking to the end, there is the West gate of Yasaka shrine. After get out of the gate, you can see convenient store, lawson, then cross the road tword lawson Keep walking along the Shijo street to west, there is Starbucks
