THE SUMMER EDITION

T

his year our kids’ environments have seen change, growth and wonderful blessings. In September, we officially kicked off our new Westside Kids environment and we have been blown away by what God has been doing. From the first week, our volunteers came every Sunday ready to share God's love and joy with each kid and their families. We have seen these relationships blossom and celebrated each time we heard of a child who grabbed hold of truths about who God is and His love for them. We have seen new faces join each of our age groups all the way through our 0-2 year Waumba Land, our PreK-SK Waumba Land and our Grades 1-5 UpStreet. This summer Westside Kids is still going strong and our 0-2year olds are introducing their own circle time where

God’s love is being shared with these little ones through song, rhyme and story... being one of the first places a baby hears about God; now that is awesome! Our Tuesday Night Kids Club continues to be a high energy, high impact environment where kids can meet God, ask their questions and experience Christian community. So many of our young leaders have been stretching themselves by leading activities, teaching Bible based lessons and sharing their testimonies. God has been so faithful and we continue to welcome many new kids and families into this front door ministry. But wait... that's not it! This summer God blew up all our expectations and we were blessed through a government grant and

3 students will be interning with us in our Kids and Youth Programs. Danielle Boot, Sarah Tichborne, and Jacey Curran are going to be doing a ton of amazing work this summer and because of this we are excited that our current momentum for Westside Kids and Kids Club will continue through the summer. Kids Club: The Summer Edition for JK-Grade 8 will start Tuesday July 5th 2016 at 6:30pm-8:30pm. If you are looking to serve this summer at Westside this could be the place for you! We are pumped for this Summer and what God has in store for both our kids environments. Melissa Mason | Kids Team Leader kids@wbchamilton.com

NE W T E AC H I N G S E RIE S We live in a selfie culture where the camera always seems to be pointing at ‘me’. When we focus primarily on ourselves we tend to lose perspective on others. Could it be that this is the source of most of our relational drama? Maybe it’s time to turn the camera back around and rediscover the wisdom and peace of selflessness.
