ABOUT WESLEY COLLEGE
Founded in 1873 as a preparatory school, Wesley College has a covenant relationship with the United Methodist Church. The College offers 30 bachelors, four associates, and master’s degrees in nursing, education, business administration and environmental science in a multi-denominational, multicultural campus setting. Wesley College and its athletic facilities are located on 50 acres in historic Dover, Delaware. Dover is the capital of the nation’s first state and has 35,000 residents. The campus is situated in Dover’s major residential community with stores and banks in easy walking distance and malls a short commute. In addition to being the site of many pre-Revolutionary War buildings and sites, Dover is also the home of Dover Air Force Base and Dover Downs International Speedway, which hosts two annual NASCAR races. The city has a number of fine eating establishments as well as a wide variety of fast food restaurants. Seafood is a specialty because of the city’s proximity to the Delaware and Chesapeake bays and to the Atlantic Ocean. New York City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., are within a two to three hour drive of the campus. Most of the College’s 2,400 students (1,400 traditional and 500 adult full-time) come from the Middle Atlantic region. The majority of full time students enroll directly from high school, but the College does provide programs for nontraditional students. Wesley attracts students interested in a personal approach to learning, with a 17:1 student to faculty ratio.

WESLEY COLLEGE AT A GLANCE • Founded in 1873 to provide a value-centered education to students of all races and faith. The original Wilmington Conference Academy became Wesley College institute in 1918 and Wesley College conferred its first four-year degrees in 1978. Graduate programs were added in the 1990s. The institution is Delaware’s oldest private college. • Wesley is fully-accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and is as an independent liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Several majors are accredited through field-specific accreditation commissions. The College was named for John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. • The 50-acre main campus, located in the historic district of Delaware’s capital city, features a library, 19 buildings and recreational facilities. Several other support facilities are located within a walking distance of campus including a public library, the state archives and museum, and the legislative plaza. The College operates off-campus centers at the Dover Air Force Base and the Wesley College New Castle Campus. • Wesley is a partner in the Schwartz Center for the Arts, located in downtown Dover, allowing the College to provide cultural programs for our students and the local community.

There are six residence halls on campus. Zimmerman Hall offers apartment-style living for upperclassmen, Malmberg has suite style
living, Carpenter and Roe Halls offer traditional housing, and Gooding and Williams Halls provide housing for first-year students. The Honors House is offers a quality housing experience for students that maintain a certain GPA and are approved for the Honors Program. • Students participate in a variety of over 30 cocurricular organizations including Student Government, Student Activities Board, Greek Life, intramurals and recreation, academic clubs, special interest groups and community service groups. • Internships, cooperative education, undergraduate research programs, and professional practicums are an integral part of many academic programs and encouraged in others. • Various volunteer opportunities are available in the community and through unique, campus based service programs, including charter school and other programs located within our campus community. • The College awards nearly $9 million in institutionally funded financial aid annually. • Ninety percent of full-time students receive financial aid comprised of scholarships, institutional grants, federal and state grants, student loans, workstudy, and on-campus employment.

Postseason Success Wesley College has made seven consecutive trips to the NCAA postseason, winning five regional championships and 18 playoff games, both of which are third in DIII in that time. Winning Seasons Since the program’s fourth year of Division III play in 1990, the team has not had a losing season and has had a winning record in 22 of 23 seasons. Scott D. Miller Stadium Wesley enjoys one of the best home field advantages in the nation, going 53-3 at Scott D. Miller Stadium since the beginning of the 2004 season.
All-Americans Since 1989, Wesley College football players have earned a total of 132 All-American honors. Major Awards Wolverines have also garnered numerous Player of the Year accolades, headed by Rocky Myers, the 2004 winner of the Gagliardi Trophy. Wesley has also produced 10 AP-Little All-Americans, as well as ECAC Players and Rookies of the Year and D3football.com South Region Players of the Year on both offense and defense. This past season, defensive end Chris Mayes was named a First Team AP Little All-American, quarterback Shane McSweeny was a first team All-American and linebacker Sosthene Kapepula was
named the ECAC Defensive Rookie of the Year. Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy Three times in the last four seasons, Wesley has been honored with both the Lambert-Meadowlands and ECAC Team of the Year Awards. The Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy is given each year to the top team in the East in each Division I, II and III. National Rankings Wesley has finished ranked in the top five in the national polls five times in the last seven years and has established itself as a fixture in both the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com polls.

First presented in 1993 and since that time, the Gagliardi Trophy has become one of the leading collegiate football awards and is widely recognized as the premier individual award in Division III football, honoring excellence in athletics, academics and community service. Rocky Myers is the only defensive player to win the award. Wesley is the only school on the East Coast to produce a Gagliardi Trophy winner. Myers was named to the All-ACFC and ACFC All-Academic Team all four years. One of only three Division III players and 15 total scholar-athletes, Myers was named to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s

2004 National Scholar-Athlete Class. Myers is the only Wolverine to be named a team captain three consecutive years. In addition to his expertise and agility on the football field, Myers, a biology major with a minor in chemistry, was selected for his academic achievements (4.0 G.P.A.) and leadership on campus and in the neighboring communities. In 2004, Myers led the Atlantic Central Football Conference with 124 tackles and was ranked 11th in the nation with 12.4 tackles per game. Myers also led the ACFC in passes defended with 17 (5 Interceptions and 12 Pass Breakups) and was ranked 13th in the Nation with 1.7 passes defended per game.

Wesley College has won the NCAA Division III South Region Championship four times in the past six years to advance to the national semifinals. The Wolverines, along with Mount Union and Wisconsin-Whitewater, are the only three teams in Division III with that many regional championships during that time.

Wesley College has won both the prestigous Lambert Trophy and ECAC Team of the Year Awards in Division III three times in the past four seasons. Established in 1936 as the Lambert Trophy to recognize supremacy in Eastern college football, the award has since grown to recognize the best team in the East in the Bowl Subdivision. In 1957, the Lambert Cup was created to recognize non-Division I-A teams, and in 1966 a Division III award was added. In 1983, the Lambert family decided the Meadowlands Sports Complex would be the best organization with a sincere and involved interest in college athletics to sponsor and manage the award, and since that time, the awards have been known as the Lambert Meadowlands Awards. The Lambert Meadowlands Trophy is given to the top team in each NCAA Division. This past year, Wesley was bestowed the honor, along with West Virginia (Division I FBS), Lehigh (Division I FCS) and New Haven (Division II).

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
The home of the Wolverines, Scott D. Miller Stadium features an artificial surface (Field Turf) and initial seating for 2,500 - with potential expansion to 5,000. Lighting allows for night games and a state-of-the-art digital scoreboard has been added to the South endzone. A two-deck Press Box, with President’s Box and observation deck and picnic and concession areas also add to the complex. Since the installation of Field Turf, among other renovations, the stadium has provided a huge home field advantage for the Wolverines. The football team has won 53 of it’s 56 games since the beginning of 2004. The stadium has hosted 17 NCAA Football Postseason games, as well as ECAC South Region soccer postseason contests. In addition to football, Wesley’s soccer, field hockey and lacrosse teams also call the facility home.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING Located inside the Wesley West Fieldhouse, the Peter Biefield Weight Room, which underwent $40,000 in upgrades and renovations this summer, is the primary workout facility for Wolverine Football.

Mike Drass, who also serves as the Director of Athletics at Wesley, enters his 20th season as Wesley’s Head Football Coach leading the Wolverines to a record of 167-47-1 through the end of the 2010 season. During the past seven seasons the Wolverines have risen to unprecedented heights. Wesley’s 82 victories in that timespan are the third most in Division III and the team has won 18 NCAA playoff games during the run, advancing to the national semifinals four times and one trip to each the quarterfinals and the second round. Including his four years as an assistant coach before taking over the Wesley program, Drass has been on the sideline for all but one win in the program’s Division III history. His teams have also won four of the last five Lambert-Meadowlands Trophies in Division III in recognition of Eastern supremacy in college football and has also been awarded the ECAC Division III Team of the Year Award three times in the past four years. Drass has coached student-athletes to 128 All-America honors during his time at Wesley and coached 191 all-conference selections during the teams run in conference play. The Wolverines have also produced four D3football.com South Region Players of the Year and six ECAC Southwest Players of the Year. In March of 1993 Drass was named the Wolverines third Division III coach, after spending three years as the defensive coordinator. The Wolverines, committed to success on the field and in the classroom, stress an academics first approach to college football. “Football at Wesley College is about a cap and gown, not a helmet and shoulder pads,” says Drass “I get the most satisfaction

when one of our players walks across the graduation stage. Our belief is simple: There can be no success on the field unless there is progress toward a degree in the classroom.” Drass has coordinated the Wesley defense and has spearheaded the Wolverines’ recruiting since his arrival at Wesley in 1989. Wesley has held top 25 total defense ranking 12 of the last 17 seasons. Two years ago, the Wolverines’ finished as the No. 1 defense in Division III, in addition to a pair of second place finishes during his tenure. Coach Drass began his coaching career at North Penn High School in Blossburg, Pennsylvania in 1983. Following two seasons as an assistant, he spent two years as the school’s head coach before accepting a coaching position at Mansfield University, where he is a member of the Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame. At his alma mater, he developed the reputation of being an outstanding recruiter while he coached under Tom Elsasser from 1986-88. In 1989, he was hired at Wesley as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. As a player, Drass was a three year starter and two-time All-PSAC selection as an offensive lineman and captain of the Mountaineers. In his senior year Drass was the only Mountie named to the All-PSAC 1st team. Coach Drass originally hails from Glen Mills, Pennsylvania and attended Penncrest High School. Coach Drass is an active member of the American Football Coaches Association. He has served as the chairman of the Division III All American selection Committee and has served two terms as the District II Chairman of the AFCA Rules Committee. Coach Drass is a member of the ECAC Championship committee for football. He and his wife Laurie reside in Dover and their daughter Molly Ann.

WOLVERINE COACHING STAFF
Offensive Coordinator CHIP KNAPP Chip Knapp enters his 24th season as a member of the Wesley coaching staff and his 22nd as the offensive coordinator. Since taking over the offensive reigns in 1991, Knapp has built the Wolverines into one of the most powerful offensive machines in Division III football. This past season, Knapp led an offense that put up nearly forty points and 414 yards per game. Heavily involved in the offensive attack were Matt Barile and Steve Koudossou who both averaged 29.7 yards per reception. With four seasons under his tutelage, quarterback Shane McSweeny never lost a game at home and broke the school career records for pass efficiency (168.3) and completion percentage (62.1). In 2008, under his guidance, sophomore quarterback Shane McSweeny finished second in Division III in pass efficiency and was named the ACFC Offensive Player of the Year, and the team finished 25th in scoring offense (35.1). Under his tutelage, the 2007 offense set school records with 3,237 rushing yards and 6,192 total yards. The offense ranked ninth in the nation in yards per game (476.3), 18th in scoring offense (35.9) and 20th in rushing offense (249.0). The squad also set individual game records for total offense and rushing yards. In 2006, Knapp’s offense ranked eighth in scoring offense at 36.9 points per game. The Wolverines ranked in the top 25 in passing offense with 247.7 yards per game and quarterback Chris Warrick threw for over 3,300 yards and 33 touchdowns. The Wesley attack also featured the national leader in receiving yards in Michael Clarke (1,304) and produced a 1,000-yard rusher in ACFC and ECAC Rookie of the Year Aaron Jackson. His 2005 offense rated fifth in scoring offense and finished in the top 30 in passing yards. In 2004 the Wolverines ranked 17th in the nation with 251.7 yards rushing per game. In 2001 Wesley finished in the Top 10 in the nation in total offense (fifth), passing offense (fourth), and scoring offense (sixth), averaging 45.6 points a game. “Chip Knapp is one of the most talented coaches in Small College football today,” says Wolverine head coach Mike Drass “We are fortunate to have him on our staff.” Under his direction players, such as Chris Warrick, Jason Visconti, Jimmy Connolley, Petie Davis, Fran Naselli and Brandon Steinheim, finished their careers among the most prolific players in D-III. Davis finished among the 10 best in career rushing yards, Connolley and Visconti among the 20 most efficient passers and Steinheim set the D-III mark for consecutive 100-yard rushing games. Naselli was a three-time All-American and Visconti ended his career holding every Wesley and ACFC passing record throwing for over 7,700 yards and 77 Touchdowns in his career, until Warrick surpassed his marks by tossing for over 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns. A 1987 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Knapp received a degree in economics. A two-year letterwinner for the Big Red, he won the starting quarterback job his junior season before a knee injury ended his year at midseason. Knapp bounced back to be named the program’s “Comeback Player of the Year” during his senior year. Prior to arriving at Wesley in the spring of 1989, Knapp was an assistant at Cornell and also served as a graduate assistant at Kansas. Chip and his wife Cindy reside in Dover. They have three children Benjamin, Eleanor, and Emma.

Wide Receivers/Recruiting STEVE AZZANESI A former All-ACFC quarterback in 1998 for the Wolverines, Steve Azzanesi is in his 11th year at Wesley College after joining the coaching staff in January of 2002. Azzanesi’s main responsibility is coaching wide receivers, where he has coached seven of the school’s 10 all-time leading receivers, while also serving as Wesley’s recruiting coordinator head coach of the Wolverines’ junior varsity team. In addtion to his responsibilities on the gridiron, Azzanesi is the Assistant Athletic Director for Promotions at Wesley and also teaches several courses as an adjunct professor. The 2011 season could be considered a banner year for Wolverine wideouts as both Matt Barile and Steve Koudossou averaged a schoolrecord 29.7 yards per catch. Kodossou also would line up in the Wesley backfield and took his attempts nearly 20 yards per carry. Azzanesi was a four-year letterwinner and starting quarterback for the Wolverines in 1998. He led Wesley to a 7-3 mark and an ECAC Bowl game his senior season. Azzanesi passed for 1,234 yards and 12 touchdowns, and is recognized as one of the best rushing QB’s in Wolverine history. Rushing for 252 yards and scoring four times on the ground in 1998. Azzanesi was also a three-year starter at shortstop on the Wolverines baseball team, where he set several records on the diamond. In 2000, Azzanesi graduated from Wesley with a degree in Communications & Accounting, graduating with over a 3.0 GPA and was a member of the ACFC All-Academic Team. After graduation, he worked at WBOC TV-16 as a sports reporter, before returning to his alma mater. Azzanesi completed his Masters in Business Administration from Wesley in May 2004. He is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. Azzanesi played for Coach Joe Hemphill, a Wesley alumnus, where he quarterbacked the Vikings to a State Championship in 1994. Coach Azzanesi, who is currently pursuing his doctorate, resides in Milford, Delaware with his wife, Margaux, two sons Luke and Paul, and daughter Marin.

Chris Sfamurri is in his fifth season assisting with the offensive line at Wesley and his third as a full-time member of the coaching staff. In addition to his duties with the offensive linemen, he also serves as the Wolverines’ video coordinator and as the program’s strength & conditioning coach. His first season as a full-time coach saw the Wolverines produce an All-American on the o-line for the first time since 2007. Sfamurri was a four-year letter winner and a three year starter at guard for the Wolverines. He overcame a devastating injury at Frostburg in 2006 to return for his senior season in 2007 where he anchored an offensive line that set numerous school rushing and total offense records. Coach Sof was a member of three ACFC Championship teams 2005, 2006 and 2007 and NCAA Playoff teams starting on South Region Championship teams in 2005 and 2006 with Wesley. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Wesley in 2010. Hails from Drexel Hill, Pa. where he attended Upper Darby High School and was recruited by coach Drass to attend Wesley.
Shawn Plews enters his 11th year coaching on the Wesley staff, serving as the Special Teams Coordinator since 2005. Plews also has coached the Wolverine running backs for the past five seasons. Plews has also coached tight ends during his tenure on the staff. In 2008, Wesley featured a dominant special teams unit, that broke several NCAA records. As a team, the Wolverines led the nation in punt return average (18.6), ranked third in kick returns (26.1) and eighth in net punting (35.7). Return specialist Larry Beavers finished the season with eight total return touchdowns and set an NCAA all division record with 13 career runbacks. The punt coverage unit also set a record by allowing a negative five yards for the season. Meanwhile, the Wesley running backs covered over 200 yards per game. The Wesley special teams turned in stellar seasons in 2007. The kick return unit ranked ninth in Division III at 23.31 yards per return, while the punt return unit rated 22nd at 12.44 yards per return. Beavers was named an All-American, finished fifth in the nation with 30.5 yards per return and set the Wesley career and single season touchdown return records. Punt returner Blair Newman ranked 14th in the nation at 13.6 yards per return and had one return for a touchdown. A stellar athlete at Wesley College, Coach Plews was a four-year letter winner and a three-year starter at Wesley. Coach Plews graduated in 2001 with a degree in Physical Education. He earned All-ACFC honors his junior and senior seasons. Coach Plews caught 65 passes and 10 touchdowns for the Wolverines in his career. He graduated from Chesapeake High School in Pasadena, Maryland, where he was a quarterback. Coach Plews is employed by the Capital School District and received his Master’s Degree in Education at Wesley College in 2006. He and his wife, Jen, reside in Dover with their children Addison and Matthew.
Linebackers TIM KANE Tim Kane is in his fifth year on the Wesley College coaching staff after completing his playing career in 2007. Kane will once again help with the Wesley linebacking corps. This past season in 2011, Kane led arguably the best linebacking core in the Nation with AllAmericans Jeff Morgan and Mike Asiedu roaming the field. Sosthene Kapepula also had a standout freshman season and was named the ECAC Defensive Rookie of the Year. Together, the trio averaged 86 tackles on the season while combining for 32.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and five interceptions. In his first season as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, a pair of linebackers earned All-America honors. Kane was a four year member of the Wolverines and played on three ACFC Champion teams during his career and played on Wesley’s two NCAA Division III South Region Championship teams in 2005 and 2006. Kane earned his bachelor’s degree from Wesley in Sport Management in 2009.

Fullbacks
BOB HEALY
Bob Healy is his sixth year of his second stint with the Wolverines, after previously assisting on the Wesley staff from 1995-2000. He was also a member of the men’s lacrosse coaching staff for the Wolverines during that time. Since returning to the sidelines at Wesley, he has coached All-Americans at both tight end (Jon Lanouette) and linebacker (Mike Asiedu and Jeff Morgan). This season, Healy moves to the backfield, where he will try to work his magic with the Wolverines’ fullbacks. Healy left the Wesley staff in 2000 to focus on coaching high school lacrosse, where he has had success at every stop. He coached Dover High School to the state tournament in each of his five seasons as the head coach. From there he won the 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 DIAA Championship as the head coach at Salesianum, where one of his assistants is fellow Wesley assistant football coach Shawn Plews. His teams have produced six All-Americans and Healy has been named the DIAA Coach of the Year three times. Healy was a four-year member of both the Wesley College football and men’s lacrosse teams before graduating in 1995. He was a four-year letterwinner on the gridiron and ended his career as one of the Wolverines’ all-time leading lacrosse scorers. A Long Island native, Healy resides in Dover with his wife, Sheri, and their two daughters, Olivia and McKenna.
Plackickers/Punters LARRY DELGADO
Larry Delgado returns to the Wesley staff for his 13th season and will coach the kickers, adding stability to the Wolverine kicking game. In the last eight seasons, each of his kickers has established school records. Chris Carlton, Wesley’s kicker from 2003-2005, broke all of the Wolverines’ kicking records under his tutelage. Carlton’s successor, Chris Cattanea, broke several season marks in 2006. Wesley’s next kicker, Collin Blugis set the school record for career scoring by kicker, and most recently, Dan Tryon has established several single game marks. Prior to the 2012 season, Tryon was named to the Fred Mitchell Award Watch List, which is presented to the top collegiate placekicker ranging from the FCS level to the NJCAA. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Delgado graduated from the University of Maryland and has assisted with the Caesar Rodney’s freshmen team and has coached baseball for ten years. He completed his Master’s in Education Counseling at Wilmington College in 2000 and currently is a guidance counselor in the Capital School District. Coach Delgado is married to Mary, a Wesley Alum, and they have five children, Larry Jr., Monica, Joseph, Madeline and Cecilia.

JACKIE ROBINSON
Jackie Robinson joined the Wesley College staff in the spring of 2006, bringing 30-plus years of coaching experience along with a lot of energy to the Wolverine staff. Robinson has coached football at Division I-AA Delaware State University and Hampton University along with Woodbridge High School, Dickinson High School and was the head coach at Lake Forest High School in the early 1990s. His son, Bryan, was a three-time D3football.com South Region Defensive Player of the Year and All-American at Wesley. He is currently a member of the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia Soul and was an All-Arena selection in 2012 after setting the AFL record for blocked kicks in a season. Currently, Robinson is a driver’s education teacher at Dickinson High School. He and his wife Phyllis also have a daughter Angela who is pursuing a Psychology degree at Wesley College.
Defensive Assistant LARRY FELDMAN The versatile Larry Feldman returns to the Wolverine staff for his 13th year and will assist with the defense. Coach Feldman has coached all over the field during his run at Wesley, coaching the tight ends in 2000, working with the outside linebackers in 2001, the defensive line in 2002 and back to linebackers in 2003. Coach Feldman graduated from Peekskill Military Academy in 1967. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972. While in the Corps he was stationed in Vietnam with the 1st Recon Battalion in 1969 and 1970. Feldman received the Purple Heart twice for being wounded in combat. Feldman has coached football since 1985 when he began coaching at Smyrna High School. He has also been an assistant with the varsity baseball and basketball teams for the past ten years at Smyrna. In 1999, Feldman had the opportunity to coach football with his oldest son Michael at Smyrna, an experience that he deeply cherishes. Coach Feldman is the father of three boys Michael, (a coach at Smyrna High School), Matthew, and Brett. Larry and his wife, Nancy, reside in Dover.

Defensive Line SHAUN STRICKLAND PAUL GILSTROP
Shaun Strickland is in his third season on the Wesley College football staff and will assist with the offensive line. In his first season aiding the Wolverines in the trenches, Wesley produced its first All-American offensive lineman since 2007. Strickland played collegiately at Division I-AA Lehigh University, where he played on the offensive line for several nationally ranked teams that appeared in I-AA Playoffs. His twin brother Justin, received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wesley, played on a pair of NCAA South Region Championship football teams and rates as the Wolverines’ all-time saves leader in baseball. A 2006 Lehigh graduate, Shaun works as an admissions counselor at Wesley.
Tight Ends
DARWIN MANGES
Darwin Manges returns to the Wesley College coaching staff after previously serving as an assistant during the 2005 season. He will work with the tight ends. Most recently, Manges served as the head coach at Christiana High School from 2006-10 and still serves as the school’s dean of students and athletic director. Prior to his first stint at Wesley, Manges had a very successful run at Dover High School from 1999-2005, leading the Senators to the state championship game in 2001. Manges graduated with a degree in secondary education in 1990 from Division II Edinboro. An injury cut the quarterback’s playing career with the Fighting Scots short after one season. He resides in Camden, Delaware with his wife Laura and their daughter Darien.
Defensive Backs AARON BENSON A former All-American safety for Wesley, Aaron Benson joined the coaching staff in 2011 after the completion of a stellar playing career with the Wolverines. In just his first season on the Wolverines coaching staff, Benson helped former teammate Leon Jones earn All-America honors and Dakevis Howard receive All-Region recognition. Benson tied the school’s single season record with seven picks as a junior and finished his career tied for eighth on Wesley’s career leaderboard for interceptions. He was a two-year team captain and was also an Atlantic Central Football Conference All-Academic selection. He also earned All-America honors by D3football.com as a junior and All-Region honors from the site in both 2009 and 2010. He played on four ACFC Championship teams and two NCAA South Region Championship teams during his career.
A four-year letterwinner from the Wolverines, Paul Gilstrop joins the coaching staff this season as a graduate assistant. He will help out with the defensive line. After earning First Team All-ACFC and D3Football.com All-Region honors as a junior, Gilstrop had his best statistical year as a senior, recording a career-high 75 tackles to garner AllAmerica recognition. Starting for three season at defensive tackle, Gilstrop tallied over 173 tackles and over 20 tackles for loss.

SHANE MCSWEENY
One of the best players to ever don the Navy & White, Shane McSweeny will remain in Dover to assist the Wolverines quarterbacks this season. The Wesley all-time leader in pass efficiency (168.3) and completion percentage (62.1), McSweeny ranks second in school-history in passing yards (7,939) and touchdowns (87), while ranking third in completions and attempts. Also a factor on the ground, he rushed for 1,779 yards and 24 touchdowns, both of which are top five in school-history. McSweeny arguably has his best season as a senior where he was named a First Team All-American by three different publications and was named as the South Region Offensive Player of the Year by D3Football. com. He was also named the ACFC Offensive Player of the Year after his sophomore and junior campaigns. A native of Bensalem, Pa., McSweeny never lost a game at home.

Rob Rowan joins the Wesley coaching staff as a graduate assistant after assisting on the Archbishop Wood (Pa.) High School staff the last four seasons. Rowan will assist primarily with the defensive lineman and work in the Peter Biefield Weight Room. A 2009 graduate of Penn State University, Rowan was a three-year starter as an offensive guard and nose guard at Archbishop Ryan High School and went on to earn All-Catholic honors as a senior. Following his final prep season, he participated in the Philadelphia All-City Game.

CHAD KRAGH, ATC
Chad Kragh has served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Wesley College since 2003, with his title eventually evolving to Director of Sports Medicine. While working extensively with the Wolverines’ football program, Kragh oversees the athletic training needs of all 20 of Wesley’s intercollegiate athletic offerings. A native of North Dakota, Kragh received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Dakota (2000) and a Master’s of Science in Sports Management from Bemidji State University (2002). Chad resides in Smyrna, Delaware, with his wife Malinda, their son Colemann and their daughter McKinnley.

Edison Derr will be in his fourth year as the assistant athletic trainer at Wesley College in 2010-11, but he has been associated with Wolverine sports medicin since January 2005. In addition to providing athletic training for all 20 of Wolverines’ varsity sports, he also serves as a health instructor at Wesley. Derr acted as a graduate assistant in the sports medicine department and earned his master’s in Business Administration in 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, North Carolina in 2004. Derr resides Smyrna, Delaware.
Athletic Training Intern KIAH SUNDERMEIR, ATC, EMT Kiah Sundermeir is in her first year as a member of the Wesley College Sports Medicine staff. Sundermeir graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training. A native of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Sundmeir currently resides in Dover.
