Distinction in the Field of Education Education majors who earn a grade point average of 3.5 in all courses and a grade no lower than 3.67 (A–) in education courses and who, as part of their capstone practicum experience, successfully complete an exemplary practicum portfolio may qualify for graduation with Distinction in the Field of Education.
Programs of Study for Liberal Arts and Sciences
Candidates will be required to submit, with their portfolios, a reflection paper on the
Emmanuel College
portfolio and their practicum experience. Successful candidates will present their portfolios as part of Senior Distinction Presentations Day. Candidates for distinction will confer with an advisor from the Education Department and submit their portfolios and reflection papers for review by Education Department faculty and staff, who will determine which portfolios will qualify and be presented for distinction.
