Meet the Coach Colin Goin is the Head Coach of the Emmanuel Men’s Soccer program. Previously, he served as the assistant coach for the Saints from 2006-2008. He holds an Advanced Regional License through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and has worked various camps between New York and Massachusetts. He has also coached youth club teams, including Boston Blast F.C., one of the premier youth clubs in Massachusetts, and volunteered with youth soccer in local towns around the Greater Boston area. Goin grew up in New York, playing soccer for one of the most wellknown clubs in the state, the F.C. Westchester soccer club. He attended Long Island University-Southampton College, where he played defense and midfield for the men’s soccer team. While a student-athlete there, the program was nationally ranked every year, reaching as high as third in the nation one season. Upon achieving his undergraduate education in liberal studies with minors in sports administration and marketing management, Goin stayed on to coach at Southampton as an assistant coach. In 2005, he moved to Boston to begin his career with the Saints.

Facilities The Saints’ home venue is unlike any in Boston. The team plays on the brand-new, NCAA-regulation synthetic turf field at Roberto Clemente Field, located across the street from Emmanuel’s campus. With its open-stadium design and the city’s skyline as its backdrop, Clemente Field makes for a unique playing experience. The facility is outfitted with new MUSCO lighting, scoreboard and plenty of spectator seating. In addition, the Saints have access to a state-of-the-art training facility in the Jean Yawkey Center as well as the St. Joseph Hall fitness center, which is updated with new platforms, racks, free weights, plate-loaded equipment and a separate cardio room.

Great Northeast Athletic Conference Emmanuel College competes in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), comprised of 14 New England colleges and universities. Teams that win a GNAC Championship recieve an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. GNAC colleges with participating men’s basketball programs include: Albertus Magnus College, Anna Maria College, Emerson College, Johnson & Wales University, Lasell College, Mount Ida College, Norwich University, Rivier College, St. Joseph’s College and Suffolk University.

About Emmanuel Emmanuel is a coed, residential, Catholic liberal arts and sciences college in the city of Boston.
